Once again took the trip darn sarff - exellent food (just had the chicken curry, yumm yumm) - local folk band playing - Lovely rooms and atmosphere. I would always recommend a stay.

Really good British pub food (fish & chips with mushy peas very well done), fine beers (recommend the Ramsbury Popham's Pride) and great atmosphere.
This is a really nice pub and ideal for a summer evening's drink outdoors in the garden. The food isn't bad either (have eaten here some time ago).
If you want good food and beer at sensible prices, then go to the Pelican. Easy to find on the A4 between Hungerford and Marlborough with plenty of parking spaces. Good, simple British menu.
