Lovely pub with great food and fantastic service. There was a beautiful Christmas tree and a very festive feel. In particular the manager was really accommodating and made sure that everyone in our party was catered for and happy with everything.

We absolutely love the Dun Cow!! Having lived just down the road from this pub for over 25 years we can safely say this pub has never been as great a place to eat and drink as it is now! The menu is varied and dishes always delicious, and the service is fantastic. We go regularly as a family and... More

Visited here with close family for dinner. Although very busy this pub restaurant's service was excellent from start to finish. Food was well cooked and presented with reasonable prices. The bar area sells a good selection of cask ales.

Was taken here by a supplier of ours for lunch, only four of us and our host booked the table before we went. selection of ales at the bar was really good and quality of ale was even better - very nice. I had the fish risotto and two pies and a burger completed our food order. all was very... More

Had a lovely meal here today with my husband. The food was excellent. I had the cheese and onion pie which was fabulous and husband had the beef roast which he thoroughly enjoyed also. All fresh home made produce. Really nice chunky chips with the pie. Had starters and desserts which were also excellent! Nice friendly staff and manager who... More

So sunday lunch for a family of four. Limited menu but i thought, do a few things and do them well. Sunday roast was just ok. Reheated roasties, soggy crackling, pre bought yorkshires. just nothing you wouldn't get at a chain restaurant. On the up side, staff were nice and desserts where big school portions of crumble and bread and... More

It's been more than a few years since we visited this pub which used to be a favourite destination. After standards slipped we took it off our list, so this visit was an exploration. Well it's back on the list big time. May be new owners, we don't know but the lunch time menu was great. Service impeccable and very... More

I've been here twice in the last month, and just wish that I'd found the Dun Cow sooner. Not only were the staff very accommodating and helpful, but nothing seemed too much trouble. Even on a very busy Sunday afternoon, the staff appeared to be on the ball. Food on both occasions has been fabulous and catered to all in... More

Managed to find us a table despite not booking but only 2 of us so that helped as it was clearly very busy. Excellent service, friendly & prompt. Nice menu, I had Sunday roast - just really good. Specials looked good too. My mother had steak salad (not easy to please) & she enjoyed it v much - quality of... More

Met two good friends here for lunch, a lovely warm welcome from staff. A large party was also dining, so we were asked if we were ready to order so we didn't end up behind the large order which was very helpful. Lovely surroundings - very cosy on a winters day and food was very good too, I had the... More
