Great food and nice place to sit with a lovely sea view. Right above the beach. Good diverse menu or normal sandwiches breakfast etc. Then the seafood was amazing also. Will Visit again

Definitely our 'go-to' cafe for breakfast whenever we stay in the Whitby/Sandsend area. The counter service can be a little slow at times and there's often a queue, but once your order is in the service is quite speedy and everything comes out fresh and...hot. The view is superb and dogs are welcome in the outside area, which all makes for a friendly relaxed and informal venue, which is important to me as I do suffer a little from 'claustrophobia' so this 'open' fresh-air' venue is great.More

We visited Sandsend for the first time on our mini getaway and loved every aspect of the place. We parked on the road and visited this little cafe for cake and coffee. The staff were so friendly, the choice of food and drink extensive and...the choice of cakes - well very difficult to decide!! The seating is inside, outside with a screen from the elements or proper outside with beautiful views across the beach. We loved this place and will definitely be going back when in the area againMore

What a beautiful cafe. Overlooking the sea, incredible views. Inside seating and outside seating available. Excellent coffee, great cake selection and we also tried the breakfast which was brilliant, ask for crispy bacon and sausages if that’s what you like, I asked and they just...cooked it for longer to my taste. What’s more to say, it’s an excellent cafe.More

Called in on our way out of whitby with a beach side location with great views. Parked up on the side street and ordered breakfast at the counter, I had bacon on a bread roll at £3.85 with a cappuccino at £2.95. Nice relaxing friendly...cafe stop before a long journey home.More

We went for lunch today, asked for 3 panini's, got 1 panini and 2 toasties. We pointed out their mistake and the offered to change them. The staff then suggested we asked for toasties on brown bread and suggested we were lying in front of...other customers. We had paid already do would have left. The manager came out and wanted to know why her staff were crying, she said she wanted both staff and customers to be happy. She listened, we were very polite, she went back in the cafe and we didn't see her again. If she had refunded the toasted sandwiches I wouldn't be posting this poor review. Beware, make sure the staff record your order properly, they were stressed and busy. Not sure why they were crying we were polite with our complaint.More

Stunning views. Best to avoid peak times as can get very busy and congested. We ordered sandwiches and coffees.

We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and it was understandably busy. We were advised there was a small delay in the food. It was well worth the wait.

Needed a drink to calm me down after just witnessing a mallard being hit by a car and dying horribly right in front of me. We moved the poor thing's body out of the road, but the gulls were on it within seconds and it's...poor mate was very distressed. I was shaking and tearful so we ordered 2 cappuccinos which were great and I would have had the scrambled eggs on toast I saw another visitor eating if we had had long enough remaining on our parking ticket. The eggs looked amazing and plentiful! Dog friendly and very good seating area sheltered from the elements, cos it can get breezy here!More

I would guess a recent change of ownership ! Food and value for money nothing like it has been on previous visits. Grossly overpriced for pretty basic food and drink.

All depends on the weather, winter is usually long weekends only but if it is very sunny like is has been recently, they are open everyday
