Quaint pub, with the brewery behind. Wonderfully helpful staff and terrific food! The potions are filling so much so a dessert may be out of the question! Nicely laid out and spacious. Book to be on the safe side, as this is a very popular...pub!More
Lovely reviews… yet I’m not sure how?? Slow service, very basic pub grub with very little care. Huge menu, Luke warm food. Good beer, but it’s on the brewing site so they can’t be made wrong surely. Shame as pub is attractive from outside &...good reviews, maybe just a bad day for us.More
This is a fantastic place to eat and would highly recommend! Staff are friendly and attentive and the bar and restaurant itself are beautiful! The food is fantastic with a great selection and all cooked perfectly! Have recommended to friends and if we visit the...area again we will definitely make the effort to visit! It’s a little hidden gem worth finding!More
A return visit to this hostelry, we arrived on a rainy weekday evening in October. The menu is geared towards comfort food which is just what we needed. There's a good selection on the menu and lots of bespoke specials. Our food took a while...to arrive (the pub was relatively empty) and 3 of the 4 dishes were hot a tasty. Unfortunately one was stone cold so we had to wait for it to be replaced. My beef in ale Yorkshire was hot and flavoursome.More
We had dinner as a party of 20 (10 adults/10 kids). Not a single negative comment - the service was excellent, friendly staff couldn’t do enough to help us and compliments to the chef(s), the food was fantastic, tasty, hot and all came out at...once. Ale Yorkie highly recommended!! Thank you so muchMore
Had a most delicious bowl of mussels today with a lovely leek and cider sauce. Excellent specials board will definitely be back The general menu was also excellent
Firstly, an awesome location. A real gem in the countryside. I visited alone for some bar food and a pint, having walked up from Salhouse Broad where I was moored on a boating break. As a Woodfordes Pub I expected my pint of Wherry to...be great, and to be fair it was. I had Halloumi to start with a side salad and garlic dip …. Well presented and tasty. I then had a ‘Woodfordes Burger’, which came with fries and coleslaw. The burgers tasted amazing and were very succulent! Overall my experience was ‘ok’, with value for money letting things down a little in my view, together with service. Paying my bill was a drab ,unfriendly, purely transactional experience. No smiles and ‘how was your food?’ or hope to see you again’. I left being made to feel I was just another customer. I don’t know whether I would make the effort to eat there again ……More
Stopped by for lunch on a Sunday when we moored nearby and luckily the weather was decent and we sat outside. Staff were attentive and friendly Food was nice and we enjoyed it.
the food was excellent and the staff very friendly and will to have a. it of banter nothing was too much trouble and Donna was a great laugh although you would have probably heard her laugh from half a mile away highly recommend
Had a week boating holiday on the Broads this was by far the best food and drink we had. The only thing to beat it was the fantastic service and extremely friendly staff. Have recommended the Fur and Feather to family living in the area.
We hired a boat on the Norfolk Broads and decided to stop overnight at Salhouse Broad and so glad that we did. We walked up to Fur and Feathers, approx 20 minute walk and well worth the visit. We went for a double ploughman's for...lunch and it has to be the best ploughman's I have ever tasted. Great pub, friendly staff, great beer and great food.More
Lovely selection of real ales from the Woodforde’s Brewery next door. Nice beer garden to the front too. Although we didn’t eat the food looked good and menus prices were more than reasonable.
A lovely pub and staff with amazing food and by far the best Sunday Roast we've had out. Just did not want the meal to end. Returned three times in our weeks holiday.
Lovely pub/restaurant in a nice countryside location. The pub is very light and airy with a nice relaxing feel to it. The food and service were good. The star of this establishment to me though was the manager. He was welcoming and friendly he took...the time to have a little chat about the Woodsforde's brewery and the beer it has on offer. I feel the staff could follow his lead and be a little more upbeat, but hey ! that's just my personal opinion. The Woodford Wherry bitter is fantastic pint and superbly kept by mine host. It is one of the best pints I have had in a long while at 3.8 ABV it is a session beer but other beers with a higher gravity are available.More
