My girlfriend and I decided to go for a roast at this incredible pub, I've known the staff and owners for a while but just had to publicly state how beautiful the sunday roast was today, we ate the chicken which was tender and perfectly cooked, as a Yorkshire man I must say the Yorkshire puds were out of this... Called in for a drink and lunch and discovered a fantastic cheese board. 10 local Cornish cheeses listed and you choose four. Excellent and a good pint

Had lunch on a very hot day sat out on the terrace; the food here is has an original feel to it and is great; wines reasonably priced; the day we were there felt understaffed and lady running things was also having to keep an eye on an infant child

Expect local! Lovely old pub with seating outside just warm enough in April sunshine. Food was hit and miss - the risottos were great, the cheese platter on the stingy side, sliced bread served with the soup instead of something homemade and more substantial. omelette was good as were the chips, though these were frozen rather then fresh cooked. Overall,... More

I love this place, it has hardly changed in many many years. Completely unspoilt with lovely beers and friendly service. We visited twice while on holiday in the area. On one occasion we had a meal, the steamed mussels were a bit too salty and overcooked, the crayfish and smoked salmon risotto on the other hand was a delight.

Beautiful old pub, lovely village, sunny early spring day. Everything set up for a perfect Sunday lunch. But, for some reason, it just wasn't perfect. There was a blandness about the roast beef that meant one was always looking for more mustard, horse radish or salt. The Yorkshire Pudding was a stand out however. The Lemon Posset is highly recommended... More

Love this little Inn it is what one thinks of when you picture a village inn. Very quaint with the friendliest staff and locals. Food is excellant. Whilst on holiday we spotted the posters for the folk night there so booked in for that following our meal, what a great night we had. Music was a mixture of folk from... More

A spleindid country pub with a good atmosphere and a nice welcome. There isn't a wide choice of food on the menu, but the food is good. Reommended.
