Really enjoyed the trout sandwich and french fries here along with a cup of coffee. Wonderful friendly service and a beautiful outdoor patio setting by the river

During our stay at trogon lodge we went down to have lunch there The chicken salad war fresh and the dressing very tasty. Prices are moderate and service perfect

Lovely drinks and food, and friendly service. Beautiful setting overlooking the river. I can't think of a good reason not to stop and relax here. Hummingbirds flit from flower to flower as you drink your delicious coffee.

Description
Cafe Kahawa is located in San Gerardo de Dota, at approximately 2 1/2 hours from San Jose, 09 kilometers off the main road, and on the road side in San Gerardo. The restaurant, opens for breakfast, lunch and afternoon coffee. Dinner might be arranged if reserved in advance. Regular schedule is from 8 am to 5:45 pm. The specialty at Cafe Kahawa is fresh trout, served in many different ways from appetizers, salads, pasta, and sandwiches. Try out our Smoked trout dip, it is really good! THere are also options for those who don't like trout, including chicken, and Costa Rican specialty of bean soup. We now accept credit card payments!
