Lovely friendly pub with great bar staff and a cosy fire - also really well decorated for Halloween. Well worth a visit, we will be back!

A great pub with locals being really friendly. Our dog loved the attention from everyone. Will definitely be back
What a wonderful experience drinking in this pub by the old harbour. Laurie the barmaid was so friendly and welcoming. The bar is like time has stopped. I tried a local whisky and was given a free taste of two more. We had a great...evening.More
This is a fine local pub with a lovely location, but that's all. Someone really should update this page, as they haven't done food for a long time and there were a few hungry folk left wanting when we were there.
Popped in for a quick drink before our travels and was glad we did. Nice traditional pub. Landlady was a bit quite at first but when she got talking..... This was a great thing! Very informative and we would not have realised about the Peaky...blinders and Whisky galore location if it wasn't for her!! Would loved to have stayed for another but didn't have the time!More
We were in Portsoy for two nights and went in here for a drink. The bar isn’t pretentious, it’s nothing special. However the service was great, friendly and how it should be. We did encounter a local who probably had one too many but again...nothing unpleasant. A well run wee pub. Hopefully we can go back.More
Cosy wee pub right on the waterfront. Wood burning stove on a rainy night was perfect. Friendly staff and patrons.
Great atmosphere, lovely friendly staff. A proper people orientated pub with a fabulous venue overlooking the harbour. Lovely Sunday afternoon in the sunshine ☀.
Magic wee pub, buy yourself a drink and have a wander outside to watch the changing sky as the sun sets or sit inside and enjoy the playlist.
Friendly, local sort of pub with lovely view from the benches outside. We called in after driving round the area and the staff were lovely.
we were on a trip around scotland in the campervan when the brakes needed doing so we ended up in portsoy harbour on sunday the shore inn was amazing friendly locals got a garage number off tucker? great bloke we really enjoyed our time in...this pub its a gem and portsoy is beautifulMore
Just had a couple of days in Portsoy and participated in a few drinks in the Shore the staff were friendly and there was a good selection of beers and spirits available. The shore really epitomises a proper boozer, there’s nothing fancy about it but...that really adds to the charm.More
Only went in for a few drinks, we were welcomed by the locals. A great bunch of people. Had such a great time we ended up staying longer than expected.
We stayed nearby in Cornhill and came out for a New Year’s Day beach walk. Incredible scenery but far too cold to enjoy it with a family. We found the Shore Inn open, which was a godsend and the landlady could not have been more...welcoming and hospitable, she brought a heater to our table to warm us up and warm Ribena for the kids, lollipops and games to keep them amused. We enjoyed beer, and crisps in a true Scottish pub with warm friendly hospitality on a cold January day, who could ask for more. Happy new year!!More
Went in for a drink not much to say really don't think they do food anymore no sign of food menu or any sign of meals .Had a pint and my wife had a lemonade only the bar maid in there and a guy with...a dog not really very welcoming. Very dingy and dark pub needs a good clean and from photos on here looks like it used yo do nice food couldnt even get a coffee. strange pub could do so well im this small town could be a little gold mine if it did food and coffee and teas .Lost opportunity thereMore
