Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went here for lunch on a Friday. I had the fish and chips (Cod) , we also had the pie and two portions of the lasagne which came with two pieces of garlic bread and great chunky chips. Everything was superb, very tasty, homemade and piping hot. My fish was enormous and one of the best I've had recently. We also went for the puddings, three syrup puddings and one apple crumble with custard. Again, everything was lovely. If you like beer they serve a great pint of Everards and always have three other beers on, very reasonably priced lunch and very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back.

Visited here with a party of 10 during a visit to Duxford. We were greeted by a friendly host who quickly got us seated and ordered drinks. The food was excellent and everyone in our party had full and happy bellys. Nothing was too much when it came to ordering our food, even with a few picky eaters. All staff were welcoming and friendly. We look forward to visiting again on our next visit to Duxford in April 2022.

We called in for a meal after an air show at nearby IWM Duxford. The staff were very welcoming and we had a tasty meal and a nice glass of beer. The menu was not vast nor gourmet but it was tasty and offered good value and the setting was cosy on a chilly evening. I would not hesitate to return if we’re in the area again. Very pleasant experience.

We chose The Plough because we wanted to meet up with our daughter, but not drive to London, so we wanted somewhere and hour`s drive away for all of us, half way. My wife needed a gluten/dairy free meal, and the staff were very obliging, doing sausage/mash and vegetables. My roast beef meal was hot, tasty and good value for money. The pub itself was busy and had a lovely atmosphere, a "proper" pub. There was a good range of real ale, and I went for Titanic Brewery`s Plum Porter, which was very good. Will most certainly return.

From start to finish Tracey and Mario were so helpful, friendly and accommodating. They helped me plan my retirement party in their lovely village pub, luckily on the night we were able to start off in the large sunny beer garden. They were also able to offer undercover seating and another outdoor room for people to spread out. We chose a served finger buffet and the food was excellent, everyone commented on how good it was. The whole team were so helpful on the night and made the event a truly memorable one, well done and keep up the good work. I certainly would recommend the Plough if you are planning any sort of celebration, they will listen to your needs and tailor the event accordingly.

A busy, friendly, family owned (?) pub. A gang of us were being dined ahead of a Photographic Competition the following day. Really generous portions for southerners with modest appetites. The Scampi & Chips met the bill with beautifully cooked ingredients. Accompanied by garden peas and homemade Tartare Sauce. So much better than being presented with sachets. Just about had room for the American Cheesecake with Ice Cream. Coffee were fine, good flavour, but came in a bucket! Hayling Seagoon

What a little gem of a pub! Never been here before. Had lunch here last Saturday, chose the lamb shank which was very generous in size & really delicious..... so much so I nearly forgot to take a photograph!!! The staff were very welcoming, helpful & friendly. Being able to watch the vintage aircraft flying over from Duxford Air Museum a stones throw away was an absolute bonus!!

We were visiting the IW Museum at Duxford and wanted somewhere to eat in the evening , so we booked a table on line. What a gem of a pub! With welcoming and friendly staff. The food was delicious , we were made very welcome and even invited to sit with the regulars/ local residents after the meal and we had a great evening of fun and laughter.

Took ages to place our order, mushrooms on sourdough as advertised was mushrooms on a slice of thick white supermarket bread, chicken and chorizo pie was microwaved to death, so much so couldn't taste the chorizo. LL's scampi was cold. Staff kept telling us what a bad night they were having, friendly enough but we weren't offered more drinks at any point after the ones we got at the bar. When we did get more drinks previous empties left on our very small table. Could do a lot better

On entering noticed the good atmosphere .Ordered drinks and fish and chips for two , the staff were very pleasant and cheerful made us feel very welcome . The fish and chips didn’t disappoint they were hot fresh and tasted delicious. If I lived here this pub would definitely be my local. The prices are very reasonable too.

Entry is into the pub (standing only) and pub seating area. Around to the left of the bar is the eating area. Think pub food. The fish and chips was traditional and the waitress most accommodating although we showed up without a dinner reservation. Located just around the corner from The Lodge it’s an easy walk.

Traditional English pub with great food and friendly staff Ate here on one night during my stay at the Duxford lodge hotel. The pie was delicious and exactly as a pie should be, pastry all around and full of meat. The pub was virtually full which makes a nice change in the days of pub closures. Bar staff attentive even though very busy. Would I return? 110% yes 👍

I was looking for somewhere nice for lunch near the M11 for the family and my dog, and found this gem a few minutes off the motorway. Very accommodating for a fussy eater, great quality food with big portions. Quick and thoughtful service. What more could you ask for?

Had lunch with friends who recommended the pub, average main course and great desert. Chicken supreme turned up as a deep fried chicken leg, which was dry and a pot of gravy (random) when I questioned it I was told it was the cut of meat and not to expect a sauce (chicken supreme can be a cut but it should be breast not deep fried leg), bubble and squeak was also random, mash and carrot (traditionally it would be pan fried with cabbage) but alas not today. On a positive note the crumble and custard was spot on , hey ho. I don’t expect culinary perfection from a pub , but I was looking forward to a nice lunch.

Chose this place based on the good reviews, and all I can say is those people must have terribly low standards. Took a good 20-25 mins for someone to take our order and a further 25 mins to get our starters. When we asked about the soup of the day, the response was "tomato....nothing special". Much like the rest of the dining experience as it turned out. Mushrooms on toast was literally that....a bunch of mushrooms dumped on a slice of toasted basic white bread from a supermarket own loaf. No airs. No graces. No flavour. As for the main, well it was tepid at best. I have given 3 stars because the service was friendly, but overall, my experience was disappointing. Would not recommend.
