Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What a gem Pryd o Fwyd is! We are never disappointed whenever we eat here. Tonight it was whitebait for myself, sun dried tomato, basil and goats cheese risotto for hubby. Mains we had the baked cod with herb and bacon crust, crab mash, carrot...and mangetout julienne and a beurre blanc. We ended our meal with a tasty iced passion fruit soufflé with coconut shortbread. This was washed down with a lovely portugese red. The food was delicious and the service excellent. We are so lucky to have this restaurant on our own doorstep and especially as the menu is refreshed regularly so lots of opportunity to try new dishes as well as revisit some old favourites. Thank you Guy and team.More

On arrival we were very surprised with the building that faced us 😲 BUT.. when seated the service was exceptional! We were guided through the taster menu with wines to enhance the courses! The food was outstanding 😀 The atmosphere was very relaxed. If I...had to say a negative… Signs to show where this place was. Also directions into the actual restaurant, because as you walk into the building your faced with the post office 🤦‍♀️ and the bar is to the right. Other than that, once sat in the restaurant you wouldn’t think you where in the same building! We will be back!!!More

We always celebrate family birthays by having a Sunday lunch at Pryd o Fwyd. Notwithstanding the superb food they serve, it is such a welcoming venue and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Great atmosphere, great staff service and absolutely delicious food. Highly...recommended.More

We were a party of 22 staying in Ferryside and ordered a three course meal to be delivered to our accommodation. It arrived piping hot and on time. Very reasonable price and the food was delicious especially the pies which had beautifully crisp pastry and...very tasty fillings. The starters of goats cheese tart or prawn cocktail or pate were also good And the chocolate desserts or lemon cup finished the meal in style. Would certainly use them again if we returnMore

Guy, Terry and Simon came to our company retreat and cooked us a fabulous three course dinner. Everything was a wonderful experience from the set up, food and the service. The cost for the service and food was great value. If you're looking for a...private chef then I'd thoroughly recommend! Thank you!More

A brilliant venue. We had a friend & family members joint 18th & 21st Birthday party at Pryd o Fwyd last weekend. There were a few large rooms - a large quieter reception / bar / seating area, as well as a large room for...plenty of tables, chairs, a disco & buffet table. The place would be an ideal wedding venue. There was also an outbuilding which we used for a hired buckaroo, photo booth & games table - again plenty of space. The food was delicious. Staff were very helpful, professional & very quick with orders/requests. Couldn't recommend this place enough! Looking forward to visiting again for an evening meal. Thankyou Terry & Guy.More

Visited this Restaurant Wednesday night. We had the most wonderful meal. We started with the baked camembert. My husband had steak and I had the lamb Wellington. Finished off with the Cheesecake. The whole meal was sublime. The lamb was tender and cooked just right...with melt in your mouth pastry surrounding it. With the vegetables and small potatoes it all complemented each other. The steak was just as it was ordered and cooked to perfection. We had the pleasure to chat to the Chef after and let him know how much we enjoyed our meal. We would highly recommend this tucked away gem in Ferryside. The outside doesn't do it justice.More

Don't be put off by the exterior of this gem of a restaurant which looks like a community centre tucked off the main road into the village. We ordered a take away on a Friday evening on-line and ate in the following Thursday. Take away...was chilli and rice and fish and chips which were excellent. The Thursday was a Persian themed night (£15 for three courses) followed by a quiz. Again, the meal was excellent but, as it was the last night of our holiday we didn't take part in the quiz (next time hopefully). Really good service too.More

Don't let the exterior appearance of the building put you off! From the outside it looks like a community hall, but inside the dining room is pleasant and the staff helpful and welcoming. The food is very good and reasonably priced. My children were well...catered for and we all very much enjoyed our visit.More

We found this restaurant on TripAdvisor and we’re glad we did. Frequented by locals but something of a hidden gem to tourists like us. Food was delicious and beautifully presented. Wine very reasonably priced. We paid a bit extra and had cheese as well as...a dessert! Try it and you won’t be disappointedMore

After a lot of research I had booked at Pryd O Fwyd. Got my dates all mixed up and actually missed my reservation. Felt so bad. Sent an apology to restaurant and they were so good about it. Re-booked for next day which was the...final day of my holiday. Well it turned out to be a fab way to finish out the week. The meal was absolutely excellent. Really good value for money and the staff were utterly lovely. Well worth the drive down there. Highly recommended.More

Five of us rode our bikes to Ferryside for lunch at Pryd y fwyd on Sunday. We were running late so we phoned ahead and they were very accommodating. It was sunny when we arrived so were able to sit outside and enjoy our starters...and a drink but the weather changed so we went inside to another table for our lunch. The food was amazing - a real mix of traditional / modern / British / Welsh. The service was consistently great and, after we had left to catch the train, one of our party left their rucksack at the railway station. We called the restaurant and one of their staff went to the station, picked up the bag and kept it safe for my friend to collect. truly above and beyond level of service. Can't wait to go back.More
