Two visited for Sunday Roast Lunch, one had the Salt Marsh Lamb, one had the Venison (hence the title above!). Really good, tasty, freshly-cooked food, generous portions of meat, with good selection of vegetables either on the plate, or served separately. Quality wines were at...reasonable prices. Service was excellent, chatty, knowledgable servers (attentive, but not intrusive). This place has it about right with the menu, sufficient choices but not so many as to cause waste, pricing policy is straightforward, one-course is set price, two-courses set price, three-courses also set price. The place is popular with a lot of people dining at the time we visited. As we now live in Ferryside, this will be a regular eatery for us.More

It was our first visit to this restaurant, and it certainly won’t be our last! We were here to celebrate a dear friend’s 90th Birthday, and it really was a special place to do just that. The staff were attentive, courteous and efficient, and most...importantly, the food was superb. Freshly cooked to order, we had to wait a while, but that was a small price to pay.More

Myself and my wife ate here on Saturday and Wednesday evenings. The staff were very accommodating and service efficient. However the food was stunning. We had Scallops, Plaice, Sea Bass and Lamb chops followed by Raspberry Roulade. A special meal in all respects. Thanks

Visited Pryd last Saturday to celebrate my birthday with some friends, for some of whom this was a first visit. As anticipated the food was amazing and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Guy even put on a raspberry roulade as a special request - delicious!!! Everyone...was impressed by the food and those new to Pryd thought it was first class. Thank you all for another great dining experience.More

Ate on Saturday night with my partner for the first time in a couple of years. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Scallops for start were sweet and delicious. Plaice was melt in the mouth. Bill with a decent bottle of wine was under £100, so...pretty good value too.More

Having seen the menu advertised we visited here thinking it would be an upmarket lunch. It was quite the opposite. The building itself is very scruffy looking from outside, but I thought I shouldn't judge a book by It's cover. However when we went inside...it was no better. The furniture and room was scruffy, no atmosphere or ambience whatsoever. We ordered two sandwiches (which were pricier than most sandwiches we buy when eating out) and couldn't believe how bad the quality was. Two thin slices of the cheapest packet white bread (no option to have wholemeal or a different bread) with plastic ham. Very disappointing. Ordered a children's fish goujons and chips, goujons were overcooked (nearly burnt) and chips undercooked. Then proceeded to have a brownie for dessert which was just cold on a plate, no option to have it warm or with cream / ice cream. The only good part of the lunch was the tea at the end, apart from the fact it was in a metal teapot which was too hot to pick up by the handle. Staff were friendly and helpful.More

I'm sorry you felt let down on this occasion. The restaurant's not open at lunchtimes (apart from Sundays), so you were eating next door in the cafe, which is both a different menu and experience. That said, we're obviously disappointed by your feelings about your...More

Four ate at Y Pryd the other night. Smoked sewin to start was disappointing could not taste any smoke. My wife order chicken for mains all it came with was small bowl of salad. The four of us felt all our dishes were under seasoned....The staff I think were all new and were not sure what was going on even asking us what we had ordered, to be fair we all thought that lots of restaurants are probably in a similar position with staff. Sorry to say not on top form.More

Lovely family meal. Beautifully presented and delicious food and the staff were friendly and accommodating to a 2 year old. An unusual venue but that made it all the pleasant. Would definitely visit again.

Our first meal in a restaurant for over a year. We were celebrating our 37th wedding anniversary. Delicious food served by lovely chatty waitress and waiter. Never judge a book by its cover applies to this restaurant as from the outside it looks like a...1960's school but inside is lovely. Well worth a visitMore

Call them as they run the cafe and Post Office as well, so someone should pick up from 9am onwards. Alternatively, you can message them via their website or their facebook page.
