We enjoyed good quality food today. Homemade soup, cakes and pies, traditional Scottish fayre. The welcome was friendly and service excellent. We will return another time :-)

If you are exploring this beautiful region then The Smithy makes a perfect stop for a good cup of tea and a brilliant selection of obvious home bakes. Rustic - in a nice way. Good Country service and good country fair. Whats not to like.

First day of the season for the cafe but not our first visit. Great food cakes and friendly service. There's also a gift shop area with local products. Seating outside for sunny days. Cosy interior and home cooked food. We will be back!

Good value, home cooked food, suitable for all the family, very family friendly and nice and cosy. Heartily recommend to any weary travellers out there.
Delicious food and cakes. Great menu choices as well as a 'Specials' board. Lovely friendly staff. Best quiche I've ever had the pastry just melts in your mouth and the raspberry and apple cake is to die for. Thank you.
