We've been using Folly's for many years always friendly, lovely food. Dog friendly, and just a lovely environment. Just a little bit of feedback form our recent visits that are slightly niggling us. The breakfast's always stood out from other cafes, using quality ingredients well...presented. Last few visits it just seems like cheaper products are being used. The menus still states bloomer bread and this is not the case. Just feel like we are paying a premium price for a not so premium breakfast. We have mentioned this on numerous occasions but nothing has changed. Also no WiFi offered seems a little antiquated in this day and age. Even the small previous folly's in the old stable had WiFi.More
We drove to Settle from Threshfield and after a wander around we found the Folly Coffee House and Deli. Quite unique. Good coffee and friendly service-it was very busy.
Two slices of bread with melted cheese on top £7,50 , one can of a lager 4 pack £5,00 ,times 2 £25 I know places have to make money but not value for the price, must be to keep the riff-raff out
We hosted a Christening event here on Easter Sunday. I cannot thank the staff enough it was wonderful. The food was fresh and complimented by all of the guests in attendance. It was all home made and there was plenty of it. We had a...fabulous day as the surroundings of the cafe meant that children could play outside. Our event became a day out with the maze, train rides and playground all visited. I cannot recommend this as a venue enough. Reasonably priced, friendly staff, excellent food and amazing setting.More
Staff not particularly welcoming or friendly. Too many dogs which is ok if you're a dog lover but I'm not, although I appreciate it's a park so people will want to come into the cafe with dogs. Lovely jacket potato.- white and soft inside with...crispy skin.More
The selection and quality of food is excellent. Way beyond what you should expect from a park cafe. The owners are really working at it. Just a few of suggestions. 1. At peak times, Saturday and Sunday lunch, restrict tables inside for dining. We came...in, queued, ordered and ate our lunch while four people with take away cups who were in when we arrived were still there when we left. Have a meet, greet and seat say 12.00 to 14.00. 2. Serve hot food on WARM plates, not stone cold. 3. Work a system that cuts the queue inside for take out drinks.More
We went for a walk with the dogs and love that we could bring them in while we ate. The staff were very friendly. I had a gorgeous hot chocolate and hubby was very happy with his bacon barm which was generously filled with tasty...thick bacon rashers. We’ll definitely be back soon.More
First we have been here and we’re really looking forward as the old place was fab . First impressions lots more space but it’s lost its character somewhat . Quite a few tables left dirty and not cleared . It wasn’t busy enough to justify...dirty tables . Then the desultory way they were cleaned wasn’t exactly inspiring . Tables stained still. Cobwebs on walls floor looked dirty. After ordering waited for our food . A jacket potato with cheese and beans looked like it had seen better days and really small . Wilting salad to go with it. A bacon roll with cheap tasting quality of bacon and a little bit of pea shoots on the side . Drinks came so much before food they were cold when our food came . No it wasn’t busy . Staff busy drinking coffee behind counter so not much cleaning going on . Not very warm either . This place has the potential to be a real money spinner .More
Firstly I'd like to point out I really hate leaving businesses poor reviews especially given what they went through during covid , However I'm hoping this honest review will help to give constructive feedback. Prior to the indoor coffee shop opening we used the 'pop...up shed' at least twice a week. Amazing service , lovely, friendly staff and reasonably priced good quality food and drinks. Since the indoor shop has opened we haven't had 1 good experience. Huge queues, which we get can't be helped but insufficient competent staff on duty means even longer delays. When we have reached the front of the 20 minute queue we have been informed (on our last 4 visits) there is at least a 40 minute wait for food...add this onto the time you spend queuing and yes that means an hour!!!!! Food and drinks have been luke warm and we've found ourselves having to ask for tables to be cleared or cutlery to be bought. Staff seem stressed , confused and in all honesty aren't particularly welcoming or accommodating. Yes it's great their busy but please make your systems more efficient n employ sufficient numbers of suitably trained staff. We love this park and the pop up shed, but 4 visits of giving the indoor shop another chance and for us we've run out of patience for now. Really hoping this changes in the future.More
Took granddaughter for a ice cream after a big play on the playarea good selection of mrs dowsins ice cream pleasant staff and service food looked good definitely try next time
Lovely food cooked fresh - I had the chicken and avocado speciality sandwich and my partner had the steak ciabatta both really hot and tasty. Really good quality meat too as not tough. Had coffee and cake after and the little one had an ice...cream. It was really busy as you’d expect on a bank holiday but the girls were running it really well and will definitely be back - for breakfast next time as it looks delicious!!! Really beautiful cafe inside tooMore
The food was fantastic, staff were incredibly friendly and although it was quite busy (deservedly so), the staff looked in great spirits, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere. I had the full English and my partner had the breakfast ciabatta, both delicious and beautifully fresh. Overall,...reasonably priced for good quality food and a wonderful atmosphere. We will undoubtedly be be visiting again.More
We tried to visit for ice cream as a family, there was two separate queue’s, one for orders and drinks, one for ice cream, I queued in the drink queue and got some cold drinks, please bear in mind it was 25 degrees and I...had 3 hot children and 3 hot dogs! I got drinks after waiting forever, then joined the ice cream queue, waited what felt like an eternity due to the painfully slow very unenthusiastic staff, only to be told I had to go back to the other queue to pay for ice creams, and get a ticket! The child serving then laughed at me like I’d made her day, i genuinely couldn’t believe it! I said I was glad she found it so amusing, to which she laughed further! I will never visit again, there’s absolutely no signage stating you need a ticket to buy ice cream! 30 minutes of my life I will never get back and we didn’t even get an ice cream!More
Lovely staff! Terrible coffee *6! never seen a ☕️ bean! Time to train the baristas A shame as cakes and food menu look lovely and the environment is very pleasant
