We booked Sunday lunch for 10 of us and have to say the service was great and so was the food. They were great with the kids and we were really impressed.

The food was very good along with the service. Our room (2) was clean tidy and warm. Would stay there again. Just hope next time we get one of the larger rooms. Thanks for a great stay, see you all again, only sorry we had...to leave a day early. Best wishes Mr & Mrs L.More
Once again, a lovely evening spent at Temple Inn. The food was lovely, especially the mackerel special which was beautiful!! The service team were so friendly and attentive Well done to everyone which works here, real team effort
One of the few pubs in the area that has free car battery charging facilities for patrons. Those who remember the old place, from several years ago, will be more than impressed with it current visage. The accommodation in an adjoining building is modern, the...rooms furnished with a pleasing Scandinavian simplicity. The usual en-suite facilities and some with bath tubs in the rooms. Free breakfasts for residents and free wi-fi for everyone. The menus, like the real ale, change regularly, but there are some dishes that justifiably endure due to popularity - the cheesecake, for example, is original and completely deceptive by way of construction and consumption. You need a big appetite to finish off one of these after your main meal - which in itself insists an anticipation of generous helpings. The chef does go that extra mile to accommodate and will go off the menu to please those with faddy tastes. Most of the staff are young, customer focused, attentive and keen. Smiling faces abound, the general ambience is light-hearted and convivial. Dog friendly and children on a lead tolerated. It is rapidly becoming this reviewers main stop on the way home - if I go 'the pretty' way :-DMore
Friendly welcome and one of the best sirloin beef roast dinners I’ve ever had. Other pubs should take note…young staff both front of house and behind the scenes who were attentive, friendly and knew how hospitality should be done.
Poor service Roast not great Took almost 2 weeks to respond to my email, very defensive, definitely not sorry!! Charged for extra gravy???? Felt we were a big inconvenience?! Such a shame as Temple Inn was recommended to us!
Lovely, friendly hotel with great food. It was lovely to receive such a warm welcome when we arrived and it was a good job we booked a table for dinner as the pub was busy. Once we tasted the food we understood why as it...was absolutely delicious - we both had sea bass and then shared a sticky toffee dessert. When I’m in the area again, I will definitely go back.More

The food was delicious and freshly cooked. We enjoyed a Sunday roast with a tasty dessert and relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff and very helpful. We were made to feel welcome as well as our dog; even a dog biscuit enjoyed when given by the staff....Will definitely come again.More
