My wife and I have been regular visitors to The Plough since the sad demise of our local, The Fox and Hounds at Great Wolford - now closed. I am always struck by how well run The Plough is and we have never had a disappointing visit. We have had a few meals at The Plough over the last 18... More

Visited The Plough Inn on Sunday 4 December 2016 What a lovely quaint pub with equally welcoming locals Tried the real ales, which were well kept, my second pint must have been at the bottom of the barrel, as it settled cloudy. This was not a problem, barrel changed and beer replaced; excellent Complimentary home made Pork Scratchings, together with... More

From the moment that we arrived we were made really felt welcome from The landlord and landlady. It had roaring fires, the burgers and local pints were excellent. If we did not have previous commitments the Sunday lunch it sounded really appealing - spit roasted meat cooked over the open fire between 12-4pm. We would definitely go back !

We ate here one Tuesday (no food on Monday!) with friends. The portion sizes were large, the food excellent and there was a good choice of wines and beer. It is a small and intimate pub but ideally suits this delightful little village. Worth a look if you are in the area.

We were recommended this pub for dinner and thought the food was excellent. I liked the fact that it's an unassuming pub, pretty small and basic, but friendly with a nice open fire, and yet the food is far from basic: really good quality French cuisine prepared by the French chef. We had fish stew, pigeon, and partridge, followed by... More

We stayed in the village for 5 nights and ate here for 2 of those. The landlady is lovely, really friendly and nothing is too much trouble. The food is delicious and local produce used. The menu is varied enough for everyone's taste and the portions are very good. They have a good selection of local ales which my hubby... More

We have been visiting the Plough for a number of years. Since I first wrote a review the pub has changed hands but it goes from strength to strength. Owners Steve and Mandy Aubrey provide a warm welcome and the staff are all friendly and attentive. The menu provides a varied and extensive choice, portions are substantial, reasonably priced and... Driving down the Fosse we were looking for lunch spot and saw sign for The Plough Inn. A few minutes later we were settled in with a great pint and glass of wine. Owners made us feel very welcome and good selection from small but varied lunch menu. Our food was excellent and definitely freshly cooked. Good mixture of locals... More
