We had been to the Art Cafe for afternoon tea a while back but had never sampled lunch before. Really nice surprise to see such variety on the menu. My wife looked no further than the duck eggs on toast while I had the pulled pork baguette with the most tasty unusual coleslaw ever, Throughly recommended

My husband and I first stayed here in March 2016 when we booked a trip on The Flying Scotsman. Our return this year confirmed that it was an excellent place to stay, ready for our trip on The Royal Scott. Becki the manageress is very friendly and totally unflappable, coping with everything with a smile. Her breakfasts are a delight,... More

We visit Grosmont probably a dozen times a year but this was our first visit to this cafe and gallery. Excellent coffee and a great menu of sandwiches and light meals. All sandwiches are made to order with a wide variety of fresh, good quality ingredients and served with side salad and nachos. There are plenty of choices of home... More

Another visit to Chris's lovely gallery. We enjoyed a browse, made a purchase and savoured a delicious coffee and sumptuous cake. Wonderful once more. Friendly welcoming staff and a really quirky cafe.

Having boarded the steam train to Grosmont (from Pickering) we had intended to go to Whitby but got off here and by luck (and without review checking) ended up here. A working gallery with delicious food. The paintings and pottery are from a number of artists but we liked Mr Geall's work in particular (and came away with 2). Design... More

Went for a look at the art & sculptures here. Lots of different artists work to look at. Friendly little tea shop at the rear where there was a artist working on his art work.

I make a point of popping into the Gallery every time we're in the area. The food is lovely with an interesting range of main meals and cakes. We bought one painting many moons ago and I still want to buy more!
