Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The only serious objection is the pervasive smell of cows from across the road. We ate here twice, a few days apart. The view of Lake Constance at sunset can't be beat. Service the first time was excellent. The second time, not so much -...the waiter was "too busy" with other tables. The tomato soup with smoked salmon was unusual and excellent. It was spargle season (asparagus) and my wife and friends all had spargle dishes but I demurred, choosing a pasta dish the first night and "gyros" the 2nd night. To my surprise it was beef rather than lamb - but I was advised that in Germany, that's how it's done. Pretty good anyhow. Desserts were very good, both nights; an ice-cream concoction the first night and a chocolate soda with ice cream the 2nd night.More

Went there for a late afternoon drink. Could have stayed for dinner too! The place is really nice and the service is friendly.

It's up a big hill in a residential part of town. However the food and beer was good. We had the pancake soup for starters and. pork & German noodles and beef dumplings for the main meal. All came with great fresh salad. A modern...twist on traditional German. Beer was excellent . They provided English Menus and were very helpful as our German was not as good as there English.More

Nice restaurant with beer garden from which you have a fantastic view over lake constance. Food is also good, something different to the usual food. Prices are also fair. On Sundays the offer a brunch but you definitely need to reserve a table. Attached to...the restaurant is a small theater. They show bands, comedians, movies...really nice is also the open air cinema in August.More
