My family and I went to this restaurant on out way back from hiking. My sister has heard about this place, so we decided to try. From the beginning I had a good feeling about "Karczma Polany". I loved their traditional music, our waitress was very pleasent and the food was absolutely delicious! And, what's most amazing, for 4 people,... More

What can I say, just awesome food and service, they just serve us, better or faster than other places I know. The staff was just moving (non-stop) around to make sure that everyone was happy and content. We had the goulash with potato crepes and it was OUT of this world, really good and meaty. Our Server was a young... More

Traditional music, home-cooked food, good atmosphere and good service combine to make this a very nice place to spend the evening. It's very family friendly and seems to be a hit with Polish tourists and locals alike. It's not far from Zakopane and Witow so ideally placed to visit after a day's skiing. And as always, everything was washed down... More

But this food!!! Its... More

Karczma Polany from 1996 is one of my favourite local restaurants in the Zakopane region. Apart from the exquisite cheese served with a home-made jam, I strongly suggest to try the mutton beef served with delicious potato puree... The atmosphere, music and decor are typically Zakopiański style, and if you happen to be there on a nice sunny day, a... More

We visited twice during our stay before Christmas. Our host at our nearby chalet reserved the table next to the fireplace, which also happened to provide ultimate privacy. Although in the lower level of the building, the atmosphere is friendly and romantic. The wait staff was attentive, yet allowed us to enjoy our dinners. They were also much more friendly... More

In my opinion the people never eaten the tipical Polish foods. It sounds like you're bothering them. The dishes look like good but nothing special. In the downtown of Zakopane you find better foods and chipest.

Recommended by the owners of the B&B in which we were staying we tried this restaurant early one evening and were very wastes fixed with the experience. Although there were few customers this early in the evening the place still had a great atmosphere and we managed to get a table right next to the open fire which was delightful.... More

Good sort of Polish food. I liked the duck especially. They had a really good żurek and pierogi as well. I heard that also their tarts are worth a try, but I havent had a chance yet.
