Having a week at La Manga Club, which is perfectly pleasant but a bit 'Center Parcs.' This restaurant was exactly as others have described. They spoke little English but better than my Spanish (which frequently lapses into French.) Menu was mostly translated into English. Starters of squid, clams and snails were all excellent. Paella v good. Son had a monster... More

A group of us (including three children) had a Sunday Lunch here by eating a vast array of Tapas. All really tasty and authentic. The restaurant was very busy, full of locals but they still managed speedy and very friendly service even if we did struggle with our Spanish. Although we didn't try them on this occasion the Paellas and... More

Excellent choice on the menu and great range of Tapas. Caldero (black rice) is a house speciality and people travel miles to eat here. It is a a fairly large bustling restaurant with great food and excellent service. It is always busy which is a reflection of the quality of food. There are 3 areas to eat: inside the main... More

Had lunch today. Attentive service, restaurant full of Spanish customers, freshly cooked food. Simple but very good standard tapas. Excellent clams, potatis bravis, calamari, tuna/Mayo/potato salad. Snails good too. I will definitely be going back ASAP to try their calderos

Some friends took us to Casa Cegarra to experience caldero. I have had paella many times but never caldero. The rice was thicker and heavier than in paella and very tasty. It was a meal in itself and especially nice with the aleoli. The atmosphere was clean, quaint and rustic. The service was excellent. I will definitely return to Casa... More

Old style village restaurant & bar. Aluminium tables with paper covers and old cutlery. The caldero is excellent and served in a traditional style with the fish served separate and still on the bone. Other dishes we ordered were average and served only warm. We would go back but this place is not for special occasions only lunch or evening... More
