We stopped here today after a country walk as we were passing at 1.30 and fancied a sandwich. What a lovely surprise! We left our muddy boots by the door next to the thoughtful dog bowl and walked in to find a warm welcome, a...spotless pub, a cosy fire, a generous menu and a frendly landlady who keeps her pipes - and her cushions - spotless. While the dogs would have been welcome we left them safely snoozing in the car just outside the window and enjoyed soup of the day and a roast beef ciabatta. Thanks Mary and all the best.More

We had lunch with friends on 13.1.2022, The ambiance feels so homely, staff very friendly and attentive. Vast menu, reasonably priced to suit all tastes. Food was amazing, piping hot, good portions and beautifully presented. Will definitely be going back, great Affogato. Ample parking.

Great pub, fantastic to see muddy boots outside from all the walkers. Warm welcome and a lovely menu choice and we opted for Sunday roast - which was really tasty. The desserts and coffee were really good and I’d recommend visiting here for the welcome...and food.More

Went to this pub after a lovely long walk around Dinton Park. Walked in with relatively clean wellies, was welcomed by the rude woman behind the bar screaming ‘No wellies in the bar!!’ A polite ‘could you please take your wellies off before sitting down’...would’ve been much more appropriate. Understandably we didn’t feel like handing money over to this place after a welcome like that so turned straight around and walked off.More

Wow. Shhhhhhh...... A little bit of me wants to keep quiet about this Gem of a place..... but that wouldn't be fair on the staff here. We went for Christmas Lunch Sunday.... We were not disappointed..... 4 of us had a variety of Starters, Main...Course and Desserts. Quality of food, taste and presentation was "top"... Regardless of the circumstances and situation we are in.... Go.... You won't waste your fuel or time.... We will be back.More

Ate here at lunchtime with friends. The food served was of a high standard and the portions were generous. The prices charged were very reasonable for the quality and amount of food served. The menu was extensive and we will definitely return to this pub....It is worth the drive to and the villagers of Dinton are very lucky to have such a brilliant pub. The service was also excellent and all four of us visiting for lunch were very impressed with the pub.More

We were staying in Dinton for a family wedding and this pub was recommended by the B&B we were staying at. It's a lovely local pub and on arrival was met by very friendly staff. The food is amazing. I can see why its popular....The choice of starters, mains and desserts is good. O choice the monkfish, prawn and mango curry, other parties had the veggie and meat lasagne and the camerbert with bread. There isn't a child's menu however everything can be made in smaller portions so my son had steak and chips. Beware rhe portions are big and everyone of us loved the food. The staff are very welcoming and very accommodating. Shame its a 3 hr drive as its somewhere I would definitely visit againMore

Thank you for your enquiry, unfortunately we are only open for drinks on Christmas day between 12am and 2pm. Opening on Christmas day other than for drinks is something we've never done as we are only a small family business... More
