Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our second visit in a couple of months and it was again a great pub food experience. Wonderful beef pie with superb gravy and potato for one of us, with the others opting for veal liver and mash. All delicious. We will definitely return!

Couple of pints and two pizzas, nice enough . Paid at the till without checking the receipt , an hour later noticed a service charge of over £6 , lesson learned there at my expense .

Terrible experience, we ordered 2 Roasts and had a drink each and the total was £72.50!! Some may say this is reasonable however the standard of beef was shocking, and I didn’t come with any veg! Had to ask for more to which they bought...up a couple of roasties. Really dissatisfied left hungry.More

Greatest meat pie ever, fantastic fish & chips all served in warm and cosy setting by lovely staff. On a cold wet night night - this is just what the doctor ordered!

Lovely fire in bar. Staff very welcoming and dog friendly. Food was excellent. The beef pie was the best I'd had in a pub. Handmade on the premises.

We stayed full board for three nights. I have stayed in a lot of hotels and this was at the top for staff care and attention. Spotless large room and the food, well not only good but plenty of it. So yes I highly recommend...this hotel.More

This lovely old building gave us a lunch my husband described as 'superb'. Reluctant to eat out owing to an alergic reaction to black pepper, it is literally years since he has enjoyed a restaurant experience this much. I had the mushroom soup, utterly delicious,...we both had the stroganoff, which was amazing, and my husband had sticky toffee pudding with icecream. The dessert was so perfect I had 'pudding envy', too full to share in eating it. I left with one goal - persuade my man we need to move to Wilton.More

The Pembroke Arms is a lovely pub restaurant on the access road into Wilton. There is plenty of car parking but on a rainy weekday lunchtime if you haven't been before it's not then immediately obvious as to how to access the restaurant. Once inside...it was lovely and warm with log fires and welcoming staff we found a short but well considered set option alongside an a la carte menu which we chose to eat from. One ate a fabulous beef pie available with mash, gravy and crushed peas and the other a crisp and delicious haddock and chips with crushed peas. Both were pipping hot and great to eat. We then had a piece of tiramisu cheesecake eat which was also delicious (but annoyingly served on a piece of paper, which made it quite hard to eat) Would definitely go back and would absolutely recommendMore

The Pembroke Arms Hotel has a wonderful lounge which is, normally, a quiet space for a Friday drink. But, beware, if there are groups of young parents with very young children, this place of peace becomes quite, quite different. You have been warned. Pushchairs, car...seats etc fill most tables and seats. A casual disregard for anyone else, reigns supreme.More

Avoid ,overpriced food and drinks. Poor parking arrangements. Seating is a 3" width bench which is very uncomfortable after 30mins. If you leave any negative feedback or criticism expect a childish immature response from the owner . Date of visit: December 2023

We were a party of 10 with plus altogether 4 dogs and a baby , we were given a room to ourselves complete with highchair , a chandelier with 24 lights reminding us of Del Boy’s antics ( it stayed up ) and were treated...very well . The food varying for all tastes surpassed our expectations . So it’s hard enough planning a family get together with multi likes and dislikes but the Management provided a wide choice of food in a place with a majestic atmosphere . I thought it was priced reasonably for this day and age . Not sending photos as rare family outings are private , but well done Pembroke Arms team , you did well !More

There are outside tables. I vaguely recall it is dog friendly. Why not call them and ask: the landlord is very friendly
