Sadly, not the menu it was. The new boring simplified menu is a shadow of its former self. Just ordinary unexciting pub food menu, some only adequately cooked, but totally lacking the interesting dishes of previous visits.only one bitter available. I had my doubts about...the trend when I went there about three months ago, but now confirmed by my recent visit this week. Another good eating house has gone, I suspect, for good. Imagination is required if I and my friends, who think likewise, are to go there again.More

Have had such great fine dining meals here, mostly lunch, very important to us. Was a wow factor has become the same boring pub food served everywhere. SO disappointing. 3 of the mains were burgers, a pet hate. Sadly won't be coming back until decent...chefs are reinstalled. Only 15 minutes from home so VERY sad.More

Stayed for two nights, the room was lovely, staff very friendly and helpful. The food was plentiful and tasty, yes there are parts that are a little tired but there is a lot of work going on behind the scenes to upgrade all the rooms....Lovely grounds and can see when the sun shines is a very relaxing garden.More

We have visited The Manor many times before and I do find it very frustrating. On some visits the food has been excellent other as per this review absolutely awful! This occasion was a Sunday lunch to tie in with a child's birthday. We booked...via Opentable. When arriving at the restaurant we were the only customers which seemed at the time odd. We ordered the Sunday lunch menu, a mix of Beef, Roast Chicken and Belly Pork plus some starters. Couldn't order any bread to go with the meal though as they had run out.. yes correct run out of bread! The roast chicken and pork were supposed to come with stuffing, but they had run out of this too! Each was replaced with an extra Yorkshire pudding, they themselves however weren't brilliant. The port was very very fatty, I know this is how belly pork can be, but this was poor quality at best, for the price we anyone would expect better. The veg was over cooked and it was explained the chef had just left the previous day and a replacement was on his way up from Devon , could have been Cornwall but either way he wasn't there yet, and it showed!! I honestly feel if we had phoned directly to book, we would have been turned away, again maybe that's why we were the only party there as that wasn't an option when booked by Opentable. Needles to say for the cost of the food (which isn't cheap eats territory in the slightest) and the fact some items weren't even available and the fact they still try and sneak in the service charge which to my mind is very underhanded this gets a poor review. I suspect that I'll not be missed but it's unlikely we will eat here again which is a shame as it's been great in the past and its very close to where we live. If The Manor are listening at all then be the Pub you used to be when the beer was good and looked after and the Restaurant used to serve good food at a reasonable price for the quality.More

Book a meal for our first night in Worcester shire having read the reviews Excellent staff, friendly greeting and great service. A chef who can cook a steak. The only thing stopping a five star review is when hand cut chips are on the menu...I expect them to be exactly that, hand cut and from fresh potatoes, mine were frozen chips which you can spot from a mile away. Also a service charge was added to the bill, it should be my decision if I want to leave a tip, in this case I didn't question it due to the service, however it would appear that you are hoping that customers will be too embarrassed to mention it.More

We have eaten at The Manor many times over the years and always found it to be very good hence we return fairly regularly. However it is now under new management and things have gone downhill. Out of 6 Sunday lunches the 2 chicken lunches...were served 5 mins later than the other meals and the 2 pork lunches were very poor quality. I appreciate belly pork can and will have fat but at least 70% fat is very poor quality. For £20 you would rightly expect better quality. The beef dishes were excellent though very minimal - £22 for 2 small slices of beef. Desert similarly was minimal for the £8.50 price paid. It seems the new management are increasing prices at the same time as cutting quality and quantity. We did raise the pork issue with 2 out of the 3 waiters that came and went but nothing was done about it. So we debated and decided to take the automatic service charge off the bill. If you're going to charge a premium then the product and service quality has to back it up and on both these points The Manor is sadly lacking. The staff are generally very friendly though the young man milling around is not necessarily best suited to front of house service.... I wouldn't say avoid - I would say that there are far better options in the area so we will not return until things improve.More

Loved it. Took the dog, sat in the garden under an umbrella looking at the view. Sandwiches are ciabatta rolls. Chicken with bacon was delicious, beef with mustard mayo was stand out. Friendly and attentive service - they even brought our drinks out to us...in the garden. Wifi can be a bit fiddly to connect to but then it's super speedy. Parking is at the back, down the side of the pub. Was being resurfaced when we were there so should now be super smooth! Would definitely go back.More

We used to visit the Manor Arms regularly at least twice per week for meals and drinks up to two years ago. Unfortunately, a series of incompetent managers and poor service made it a chore, so we stopped but thought, as it was under new...management, we would try it again for Sunday lunch. Although the meal was ok, IMHO the prices are far too high for the quality when compared to competitors such as the Dew Drop at Broadheath et al. The selection of vegetables was sparse and personally I found the cauliflower cheese pretty awful. Additionally, the faint smell of cigarette smoke from outside was a little off-putting! Staff could be a little less formal and perhaps communicate more as we felt as though we were just numbers rather than customers who you might wish would return. The Manor has great potential as a country pub, and there is scope for it to be one of the best in the area. We would love to return as regulars once more, but perhaps not at the moment.More

Waited an hour & half for 3 steaks and a burger in a virtually empty restaurant. These were not our first menu choices, but 3 items were unavailable making the menu very limited. The burger was cold and none of the steaks were cooked as...requested. Smart Alec waiter pretending to be a gin connoisseur, a steak expert and suggesting our wine choice was low budget, was the icing on the cake! Avoid at all costs.More

The new summer menu does not allow Ben the excellent chef the opportunity to showcase his abilities . Whilst all food his cooked to very high standard, when we went out for an evening meal for our Anniversary, it was disappointing to be offered burgers,...fish and chips, Caesar salad and even a ploughman’s . This is regular pub grub. If you hadn’t been to the Manor Arms before what would make you choose this above any other establishment serving the same. We have visited here several times over the last 5 years because of the great cooking and selection previously available . The menu needs a broader scope to make it sing please ! AnnaMore
