Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely amazing views and the food was top notch too, the position of the place gives it so much to see especially if you are lucky enough to get a "front row seat" upstairs

We had lunch today with a visiting friend and yet again the food, service and ambience was outstanding. Having reserved the widow table we had a wonderful view of New Quay Harbour and Cardigan Bay. This is always our first place of choice whenever we...have visitors or just want a nice evening to enjoy some good food. Today, the icing on the cake was that the owner, because there was no taxi available, gave us a lift home. Where else would you receive such outstanding service? Again, well done and see you again soon.More

This really is a lovely place to eat in New Quay. Food is delicious, staff are very pleasant and attentive. Booking normally required for the restaurant upstairs which has delightful views over the harbour and bay, food is normally available without booking in the bistro...downstairs.More

Amazing food and service. Tasty food for adults and children. Very accommodating staff and amazing service with the children for a 5pm reservation. There was a particular young waitress who served us and she couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful with the children (Didn’t...catch her name but she’s a credit to the Bluebell). We returned for breakfast the following day as the kids enjoyed it so much. We’ll be back. Highly recommended.More

We stopped in New Quay for a week & liked the look of this place but it wasn’t open at the start of the week but then it was as the week progressed so we called in & were glad we did. We had our...two Labradors with us & asked if it was dog friendly & they confirmed it was and that they were welcome in the downstairs bar area. We had a drink & felt peckish so decided to order some food, my wife had a fish burger & I had a chilli chicken pizza both were fresh, very filling and tasted great. It’s located on a corner overlooking the harbour & bay and has an upstairs restaurant too and on a summers day I can imagine it will be well worth eating here with that view looking out for dolphins crossing the bay. Service was natural & friendly & it’s definitely worth popping in here.More

Received in such a friendly manner, staff very efficient and cheerful, coffee excellent……but the Lemon Meringue was just so delicious. If you only visit one place in New Quay…..don’t miss the Blue Bell!

Wow, the cakes are amazing - we popped in to grab a coffee but had to order a couple of cakes as they looked devine. The lemon drizzle cake was lovely, but the peanut butter stack was sensational....this cake is worth going to New Quay...on its own.More

We arrived in New Quay for a long weekend to find that almost everything was closed! Luckily for us you were open so we dined with you on the Friday evening. Food was great as were the cocktails. My partner was a little disappointed that...you had run out of fillet steak but was happy with the alternative he chose. We also visited you twice or breakfast and again the food was great!More

What an amazing New Year's Eve celebration! We enjoyed a welcome glass of fizz with bread and olives, followed by a gorgeous 3 course meal, topped off with live music to dance off the calories! The service was outstanding and our waitress, Ella, is a...credit to the place. We've loved discovering The Bluebell this year, here's to many more visits in 2024. Thank you Nerys and Simon for simply just being the best!More

What a lovely place the Blue Bell bistro is. Visited a couple of times during our stay in New Quay. Popped in for coffee and cake with the dog during the day, dogs are welcome downstairs. Back for dinner upstairs which has a lovely atmosphere....Food was fabulous and the service was great too. Catered well for gluten free options too. Fab cocktails too and very reasonably priced. Would definitely recommend a visit.More

I believe there may have been a lift from the ground floor but can’t be 100% sure. Best to give them a call. Toilet is downstairs too. Once upstairs all flat and easy to get to tables.
