Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Our first visit to the east coast of Wales and wanted to treat ourselves to a family meal one of the evenings. We booked easily through the website. Although it was an outside table we were provided blankets and the patio heater was switched on....The waitresses couldn't do anything more for us. Very attentive, and couldn't do anything more for us. As the title suggests, the food was delicious, so good in fact, we booked for Sunday lunch. Everything was cooked to perfection and one of the best meals we've had in a while. We recommend everything on the menu, you won't be disappointed. The duo beef and chicken supreme, was succulent and worth savoring. Sunday lunch, wow, what can we say? Definitely recommend booking in advance, but it is worth the anticipation. Glorious selections of meats, seasonal veg, pigs in blankets (yes in April) and Yorkshire to boot. We had a small one with us and he was easily catered for with their kid friendly menu. We also recommend checking the desserts, if you still have room. Two of the best meals and well worth checking out if you are in the area.More

Had fabulous meal here. Restaurant quality. The duo of beef was to die for. Should’ve ordered extra veg to go with it because we’re greedy. Waitresses really bubbly and pleasant. Lovely atmosphere. The website like so many others isn’t updated and the menus not the...same. Didn’t matter to us as we’d looked on the premises. Wine was just ok. Would definitely visit again.More

Having returned on many occasions because of the food quality, we was extremely disappointed with the brunch menu £9 for a kids pizza, which was 100% a frozen supermarket value brand & kids fish was the size of a battered sausage,i've seen bigger fish bites.We...had pulled pork ciabattas with a slither of pulled pork. The small pot of chips had more crumbs than chips. We complained to the waitress which went in one ear & out the other.Felt as though its changed ownership for standards to have dropped to in our opinion unacceptable levels. Will not be returning, much better food elsewhere in New Quay !More

I took my daughter home from university to our favourite spot for lunch, we sampled their new "Brunch Menu", which had lots of choices to suit most states, and, there were specials available, the food was amazing and the staff were very attentive, as always...we came away happy. As an aside I run a Guest House 6 miles inland from NQ, I always recommend The Pepper Pot for their food and always get a positive review the next day.More

What a gem of a place! Doesn’t look like much from the outside, but it is delightful inside. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long while. I had a trio of vegetables (moussaka, croquette and dauphinoise) all of which were delicious. Other...stand out dishes were the duo of beef and the lamb. Desserts were also amazing (sticky toffee, brownie). Lovely atmosphere and fabulous service.More

We were a party of ten and each had a stunning meal and a great evening at the Pepper Pot. Every dish was excellent and the vegetarian trio main course was one of the best we’ve ever had. The puddings, especially the bread and butter...pud, were all delicious too. Lovely atmosphere and excellent service from the lovely Charlotte. Would highly recommend and return.More

Another faultless Sunday lunch at the Pepper Pot, one lamb dinner, one beef, with a proper home made Yorkshire pud. Everything cooked to perfection, roasties, veg, meats, all good and looking ahead to our next visit.

I wish I could eat here all the time, unfortunately for me to do that I would have to travel for 4 hours but believe me this place is worth it! I like to eat out a fair bit and I have been to a...number of top restaurants and this is up there with them. I’ve eaten here a couple of times now and everything I eat amazes me and is delicious. Today was no exception, I ordered 3 courses off the festive menu and every course was cooked beautifully and the flavours were delicious (if you choose to eat here you better hope the lamb Bon Bons stay on the menu, they are sooo good )! Between my family, we had a mixture of meat and vegetarian dishes, all were outstanding. The chef out did himself with the goats cheese filo parcel, the flavours were mouthwatering with cranberry and walnuts- the best vegetarian meal we have eaten! The portions are not small and I’m currently sat writing this eating the 2nd filo parcel (my sister didn’t quite manage, as she was soo full). We all walked away feeling satisfied and full. I would walk here just to have the roast again too - I have never been to a place that gets everything on the plate perfect until today. If you haven’t tried here - book in!! I’m from a farming background and the meat was cooked the right way and was very tasty! I wish I could book in for New Years Eve as the menu looks Devine! Ps Even the cocktails - just amazing!!More

Stumbled across the Pepperpot as we were walking the coastal path on a very wet and windy Sunday afternoon. We were made to feel so welcome even in our very sandy walking boots, waterproof trousers and accompanied by our wet and muddy dog. Sunday roast...for two was really tasty, two of the biggest Yorkshires I’ve seen, plenty of meat and crunchy roast potatoes. An apple and a rhubarb crumble set us back out on our walk. Thank youMore

Have been to the Pepper Pot numerous times and alway had fantastic high quality food. Quality seems to have slipped somewhat now though. High priced food with pub chain quality. The patatas bravas on the tapas menu were a particular low, crisps with some ketchup...on them for £5! When queried the miss sell of these were told “that’s how the chef does them” with a complete disregard from the waitress to our thoughts and them not actually being patatas bravas. I can’t think of a time I’d ever pay £5 for some crisps especially ones that quickly went soggy. Not so sure we will be back again.More
