Presents itself as a pub but really isnt. If it hasnt been knocked or blown over you may see the sign saying they are closed for a private function. A joke!

Our nearest pub - a considerable amount of work was completed to turn the pub into a smart gastro pub. No idea what has happened but there has been a sign outside for something like 3 months "Closed for private function" - it must be one hell of a private function as there is now no sign that the pub... A fantastic menu, I've eaten here more than once and always have trouble deciding what to eat! Staff are very friendly and the setting is perfect. We were celebrating a birthday and the staff provided two deserts as the person who had the birthday could not decide which to have! I would highly recommend.

Having had our booking messed up in January, we checked on saturday to confirm our booking for that night.good job that my friend did so.the pub is apparently now closed for dinners. The owner had no regrets that she hadnt contacted us.at least 2 of the group were travelling in from Ipswich. Their loss.we had a lovely meal in Kings Head.

The A-board outside advertises local ales, but when we went in on Sat 7th, there was no real ale. We returned on Wed 11th and still no real ale. On both occasions we were not the only disappointed guests. However, we did enjoy a good lunch and would recommend the liver & bacon @ £11.95. This establishment is closed on... More

Picked this restaurant out of hat and managed a late booking so it was with much trepidation that we went here for out Sunday lunch. We needn't have worried , what a great find the roast beef was to die for, great veg and Yorkshire pud and huge delicious sweet, all for about £19 . I just cant understand why... More

Had good expectations as looked at previous reviews, but food was terrible. vegetables were obviously re-heated from a previous time, all brown and soggy, burnt at top from heater, potato dish very salty. Desert was very sub standard with bought custard and gross cream. Excellent waitress. manager obviously wanted to talk to everyone at great length so decided to stay... More

Went along with a party of a dozen or so . Small but good menu and good specials board. All of us agreed a very good choice.

Late review, but came with the family for Mothers Day. Having had this as our 'local' for 17 years we'd avoided coming here as a restaurant until now. We were pleasantly surprised! Extensive menu, generous courses and delicious food. And within walking distance to home. The only disappointment was that the wine that was ordered with the food failed to... More
