Stopped in on a whim one night and had to come back the next. Staff are friendly, beer (ale) was good, food is excellent and the entertainment on seemingly every night was great.

Description
The Champ is a friendly old-fashioned pub. The only pub in the area in CAMRA's Good Beer Guide it is deep in the heart of Appledore, not a restaurant as such though Rob provides excellent soul food between 6pm-9pm. Open evenings only (closed Monday in winter) we provide great ales, craft and Belgian beers, fine wines, great atmosphere and a warm welcome. Open mic nights Tuesday - Thursday, live bands Fridays and some Saturdays. Check our website champappledore for full listings.
