We hadn't been to The Dolphin for a long time as we had been disappointed in the past. However, we were delighted to see how it had improved under the new owners, especially the posh loos. The staff were very pleasant and the menu was good, old, honest pub grub. As we were going to a music event in the... More

We booked a table in advance (recommended) and arrived at the allotted time. We were welcomed and escorted to the table, where our drinks order was taken by a very polite young waitress. We are quite fussy none meat eaters and we didn't fancy the vegetarian options on the menu, so we asked if chef could make us a cheese... More

Pub under new ownership and open after refurb. Good pub grub in good atmosphere. Was very busy early evening. Nice to have some competition for the other local pub at Ringmore which needs to raise cleanliness standards...

My Husband and I were visiting family in Kingston and stayed at the Dolphin Inn, we had an extremely pleasant stay and Craig and his team are very friendly. Nothing was too much, they were very accommodating - even when the kitchen was closed and we wanted some food, Craig re-opened and it was no trouble for him. One of... More

The feel of the pub was great, oldy worldy, the staff friendly and the food was well cooked tasty and well presented. My only gripe was that the whole pub smelled of a deep fat fryer - although I do have a strong sense of smell!

In this day and age you should have a web site. We wanted to see the menu before booking a table. We did not bother.

We were welcomed into the country pub by a lovely bunch of staff. Once seated we were well looked after and the food was fab! The pub has so much character and a very cosy hideaway for a rainy day!

After a wet walk crossing the Erm estuary we made it to the Dolphin for lunch. With 5 children, 5 adults and a puppy we possibly looked like a rather unappealing bedraggled raggmuffin bunch. But the staff were lovely & accomodating and didn't blink an eye as the ten of us straggled in through the door. We ate hearty sandwiches... More

After a few years we returned to the Dolphin following the change of management. Really worth going now as food is excellent (especially lasagne and pies). Service is very good to and Craig always takes time for a chat. Good luck to him and his team!
