All reviews beef cheesecake fish and chips sunday roast sandwiches burger yorkshire pudding bread the pub cooked to perfection specials board log burner front of house lovely meal north yorkshire little gem high standard
Words fail me the previous review tells it all but when it is a special birthday occasion and my choice of venue the disappointment is hard to bear. Fortunately a satisfactory compromise was reached to which I thank the management
Amazing staff who unfortunately had to deal with complaints all day as the agency chefs were not up to standard, this pub has an amazing reputation, but due to the normal chef having an injury, agency chefs were employed and unfortunately they were incapable of...executing edible food, so unfortunate for this beautiful pub, but the original omazing chef will hopefully be back very shortly and the food will be back to the 5* standard.More
Myself and my husband visited yesterday, the pub is lovely and looks freshly refurbished. My husband had the pork belly and I had the chicken breast, for dessert I had the bread and butter pudding with vanilla custard and my husband had lemon curd cheesecake...and lemon curd ice cream, all the food was delicious and staff very helpful and friendly. Would recommend.More
We visited on Sunday evening after passing the pub on our way to Masham. We booked online as we drove by as I read the excellent reviews online. What a little gem. From entering we were welcomed by friendly staff who were very attentive and...nothing was too much trouble. The food was delicious. We enjoyed starters and main courses but were too stuffed to fit a dessert in but they also looked equally delicious. We live an hour away but we will definitely visit again!More
We were recommended this amazing pub by a lovely local couple after we struggled to get a Saturday night booking. AMAZING lovely food brilliant menu but the staff are what makes this pub unique. Lovely service and great chat. We took our Harry the saluki...lurcher as it’s a very dog friendly pub and immediately made friends with the lovely kind folk of Nosterfield. Food was brilliant. Definitely highly recommend this placeMore
Staying locally and found this place by chance after a very unhelpful encounter at a different restaurant. They were not serving food when we arrived but decided to wait and book for later that day after reading reviews and so glad we did!
Everything was...brilliant. Service from all of the team was exceptional, every one of them was knowledgeable about the menu and so friendly. The food was fresh, piping hot and very generous portion sizes, we all had fish and chips and all commented on how good it was. We saw food being taken to other tables which looked equally as impressive.
Enjoyed our visit so much we booked again for Sunday lunch the following day.
Sunday lunch was, again exceptional.
Staying again locally later in the year and already looking forward to coming back.
Thank you to all the team and chefs. Highly recommend!More
When I saw how busy the Freemasons Arms was I was a) glad I'd booked and b) slightly concerned about what our experience would be. I needn't have worried. We received a warm welcome, the service was very good and the food excellent. Chips to...die for! I don't think I've ever had food served so piping hot! I had the steak, onion and mushroom pie. Although there was some fat on the meat (I don't like it, but that's a personal preference) there was more lean meat than I could eat and the flavour was lovely. My friend had the haddock and chips and confirmed the fish tasted as good as it looked. Can't wait to go back.More
