The Woodman Inn is a family run pub in the peaceful village of Burneston near Bedale. A Freehouse since June 2014. Inside is a cosy bar, a 23 cover restaurant and 3 letting bedrooms. Serving good local ales, fine wines and quality food using locally sourced produce. This is a very welcoming place to everyone who walks through the door. Also welcoming your four legged friends into our bar area!

Stayed one night 27th Dec initially booked through the pub for 2 nights but as we arrived we received a call from a family member and we informed the landlady we would unfortunately only be able to stay one night.

Stayed overnight on the carpark in our camper - advisable to ring and check as it is a small carpark. Has electric hookup if needed.

Stayed the one night en route on the A1. excellent stay. Modern comfortable room good size. Breakfast, one of the best. Good value with plenty of parking.
Great pub in a quiet village. Good flat car park with EHU and water. Free to stay for the night when you eat here. Had a lovely meal. Staff very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended.
Ate here for dinner, good menu, nice food served by very friendly staff, the pub was very clean. Good covid precedures which made us feel very comfortable. Would recommend.
Stopped one night in the campervan, they have a great set up with electric hookup and free overnight - all you need to do is eat in the inn. Dinner was great so no hardship! Friendly, attentive staff. Highly recommended.
Ate out as a family at the Woodman, food prices are hiked up but I suppose this is because of the 'eat out to help out' but feel this was taking advantage of the government's scheme. Hubby ordered daily special cajun salmon which he enjoyed...More
