Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Lovely tea room huge room in the back overlooking the garden for dogs to use with a log burner so lovely and warm. Had coffee and a traybake lots of delicious looking home made cakes to choose from. Paid £11.40 for 2 lattes and 2...traybakes which is really reasonable. The tearoom is spotless clean with lots of gifts for sale from the gift shopMore

A really nice tea shop. I took my daughter who had a very nice cheese sandwich while I had a cooked breakfast. It was good value and everyone was very friendly. I looks a bit small from the outside but has plenty of space at...the back and also a nice outdoor area. We will be back!More

We recently visited Goathland for a family break, and went in the tearoom for breakfast, I can honestly say that we had the best breakfast we've ever had! Everything was perfect, we'll definitely be going in the tearoom again, thankyou xx

My husband and I visited yesterday to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Two of us had the breakfast, one the soup and a sandwich and one the scrambled eggs. The food was delicious and as I don’t eat eggs was offered extra bacon which was very...thoughtful and appreciated. Service was good, seating comfortable and a good ambience. Cafe very clean, as were the toilets. Definitely recommend and will be back.More

Nice atmosphere and good food. Good staff giving service with a smile. They also have a lovely garden area at the rear for when the weather is fine. Would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely lunch here - warm cheese scone with soup for me, mozzarella, tomato and basil panini and Cornish pasty for the other diners. We then had tea and cakes. Good prices and a lovely setting. Nice outdoor seating area.

Always the best place for something to eat in goathland, and to be honest best jacket spuds we have had from many places. We always come once if not twice everytime we have a week holiday at Whitby. The portion's are huge and very good...value for money, we always sit in the gardens which has a beautiful pond, many birds and a feild of sheep next door. Wouldn't recommend anywhere else for something to eat in goathland. I brought a church mouse from the goathland church so obviously he came for a bite to eat with us too.More

My wife & I walk the Rail Trail from Grosmont to Goathland & back. Whilst in Goathland we always visit Goathland Tearooms for a coffee/tea. We always receive a friendly welcome from the staff & the customer service skills are excellent. Both the tea &...coffee are always very good. Although on this occasion we didn't have any cakes they have always been fresh, tasty & good value when we have. The Tearooms are always clean including the toilets. We would recommend this cafe if you are in Goathland.More

This was probably the best afternoon tea we've had, and we've had a few 😂 great staff, lovely garden, fantastic food, even offered us a box to take what we couldn't eat, it was needed. Faultless service and food, highly recommended, £26 for the afternoon...tea for two.More
