9 of us rocked up for our usual Tuesday diners club gathering. I have always had a blind spot for this place but it was packed (as it always in) and you certainly can't fault it for its value for money. All of our party enjoyed their meals (I didn't enjoy the birthday drinks bill) which I guess speaks for... More

I've been here under duress a few times, the place is in dire need of a refurb. The carpet sticks to the soles of your shoes, it never looks clean & on our last visit there was food stuck all over the inside of the food menu. Hubby loves the beer so I agree to go every so often. On... More

Have been here before, but this time was just before Christmas. We had not booked, and there were 6 adults and 5 children. they were, as can be expected, very busy, but re-arranged some furniture, found extra chairs, and bingo, we were all in and settled. Food great, ambience friendly, and very reasonably priced. Steaks, Salmon, Gammon, Steak and Kidney... More

The interior of this pub is in desperate need of modernisation but is a nice little pub with a good child (& dog) friendly beer garden to the rear. Always lovely planting in flower beds and hanging baskets so lots of kerb appeal but like stepping back in time inside the bar & toilets (which to be fair, are clean... More

Being an old fashioned pub in the slightly up-market residential area of Dorridge, this is a regular post-meeting evening watering-hole and occasionally I have had a very quick late supper which is always presentable without being spectacular. You pays your money and takes your choice. I also have a good friend who swears by the place for good value lunches.

We booked and enjoyed a great choice from the Christmas menu. Good British food cooked and served well. It was a bit quiet that evening, but we were assured it was full at lunch time

This is one of the old style pubs that serves good quality food freshly cooked. The game in particular is excellent and so is the meat generally. The prices are as low as they can do them. The beer is well kept what more could you ask for.

I like this pub. It's a down to earth, no frills pub. And the food is good quality for the price; in winter, the country Faye is exceptional. The beers offered are also well above average but the quality is unpredictable. Sometimes v. Good, at other times well below par. The staff who serve are always polite and attentive. Even... More

The Railway Inn serves traditional food that is freshly cooked and very good value. The beer garden, with a play area, is fantastic in the warmer weather. So refreshing to eat good value food in a restaurant that is not part of a chain. I would recommend booking as the restaurant is quite small.
