I recently visited this hotel for the first time with my sister & a friend. We'd booked for afternoon tea & had a lovely experience. The young man who greeted & served us was very friendly & helpful. Having perused the menu in advance, I'd...contacted the hotel to ask if I could ditch the egg sandwich & double up on one of the other fillings. They swiftly responded to say this wasn't a problem & I was more than happy to be given 2 coronation chicken sandwiches, in addition to the cheese + home made chutney one, on the day. All of the afternoon tea components (both savoury & sweet) were exceptionally tasty. We also had a couple of hot drinks each - you could select anything off the menu, not just plain tea or coffee (I tried a mocha). We spent a leisurely few hours tucking into all the offerings & thought the afternoon tea was very good value for money. I shall most definitely visit the hotel again, both for another afternoon tea & also to sample the rest of their menu.More

From first arriving the staff very friendly and helpful. The food was fabulous, a great choice. Stayed 2 nights. The room was spacious, clean and lots of toiletress. The only problem was trying to find some where to park. We did find a space eventually...in the Market square. All in all a good place to stay.More

ASIAN NIGHT … Booked in on the Asian Theme night …. Have to say on of the best meals we had… food was fantastic Coconut and Prawn Laksa for starter 👌 tasted great with a great kick of spice … lovely Sticky Pork Bao Buns...with Asian slaw … also fantastic… as was the rest on the meal…. My husband and I came for The Asian themed night. Wow! The food was absolutely amazing! Flavours were spot on. Food piping hot, great atmosphere and staff were fantastic. An absolute success and great team.

Had breakfast and dinner on two consecutive nights whilst staying at the hotel. The food was first class. Breakfasts were made with quality produce, cooked to perfection. Dinner - can totally recommend the home made pies, the beef blade and the onion breadcrumb Brie starter...and berry compote dessert. Best meals we have had in a long time.More

We came for Sunday lunch yesterday with our children and food was absolutely fantastic. Very tasty and piping hot. Nothing was too much trouble and we weren't rushed. Great choice of food and every time we eat here we have a fantastic meal. The fish...and chips I have had a number of times and its the best in the area. Beautifully decorated bar and restaurant, everything is spotlessly clean and the staff are lovely. We will be visiting again soon.More

We used to come here frequently, often bringing friends and family in the knowledge that the food would always be of good quality. Last Sunday was our first visit since Covid and how things have changed! The food was barely edible. Vegetables were literally swimming...in a pool of water and were completely tasteless. So too, the rest of the food was insipid in the extreme - bland and without flavour. Market Rasen has lost its only good eating place!More

Food was excellent ,portions generous. Only let down was that on a Saturday evening some of the local bar clientele were rather loud, as was one table in the restaurant. Neither really in the control of the hotel, just detracted from what could have been...a really nice evening.More

We enjoyed the seafood tapas evening very much, with some tasty and innovative dishes served. The highlights were the mussels (the sauce was excellent) and the spicy king prawn dish. I can’t think of a solution to the problem but my only gripe is about...serving three hot dishes simultaneously because however quickly you eat, the last one’s going to be close to cold. There was a small issue with one dish and the waiter (tall, young fella) deserves a lot of praise for the doors with which he sorted it, his manner and politeness. Would certainly return for this type of evening.More

Lovely hotel rooms and great staff. This hotel is excellent. Rooms clean, spacious and great decor. Nothing was too much trouble. Very welcoming, would book again if in the area. Large portions of food for both dinner and breakfast.

Me and my wife came for a night away on a rare night we where child free. We had a brilliant stay and couldn’t recommend this place enough. We arrived and parked across the road with free parking nearly at the front door. Upon looking...at the hotel from the outside we both immediately thought it looked a little run down and a bit shabby. This was NOT the case from the second you walk in the front door the decor is classy and elegant and has a very nice vibe and all the staff where very welcoming. We stayed in a superior king room and the room itself was absolutely massive and again very nicely decorated couldn’t of asked for more. The shower was brilliant with a bath. The bed was super comfy and huge there was also some complimentary coffee and hot chocolate which was lovely. We had opted for the option upon booking which was superior king room breakfast and dinner and we are so glad we did the food was absolutely beautiful the scotch eggs for starter was to die for and the tomato chutney was incredible. For mains we had the belly pork which again was as 10/10 couldn’t of asked for better. We also ordered a fish pie which in all honesty I regretted ordering because my partners belly pork blew it out of the park however it was still nice. The deserts was absolutely the best part of the stay they was incredible worth the money alone we had the sticky toffee pudding which partner has absolutely everywhere we go and she said it was her favourite ever so that is high praise! I had the lemon tart and it was quite possibly the perfect dessert I wouldn’t of changed a thing! Another side note the cocktails where fantastic and a good choice of larger on tap to. Never waiting for drink the staff were supper attentive and was always there to bring another to us. Thank you for a brilliant night away and we shall be back soon that’s for sure!More
