While touring in Normandy, came upon this little place! Cozy, smaller inside and warmed by a fire. Food options, specific to Normandy were excellent and serving sizes very large!

My first visit, and all in all not bad. The menu is diverse and not badly priced, the service was fast and efficient which was impressive as it was lunchtime and there were a couple of large tables of people and family groups. The food was plentifully and tasty. The icecream desserts are on the good side of large and... More

I've been here a couple of times for dinner and both times enjoyed it. Price-wise, slightly expensive but I suppose you are paying a bit for the setting. It's off the main road only just outside Valognes, ahs a lovely seating area outside and a pond with ducks. There's a small play are for children, too. The owner/manager is very... More

This was one of those experiences where you know the proprietor speaks some English, you try your best to speak French and be respectful and it doesn't go very well. The atmosphere was OK. The food was disappointing and one member of our party was brought the absolutely wrong dish and the server responded as if it was his fault.... More

We were hoping to dine at the nearby Forge but it was shut. As we hadn't booked we had to have an outside table, it was a bit chilly so the waiter lent me a fleece, so kind. The food was amazing for the price paid, the duck, jambon and tartiflette were all really lovely and nicely presented. Another guest... More

We visit here often with our family. Always a great meal with local cider - although we do often have quite a wait for service! The boys love it here as they get to run around the lake...we love it as they expend a little excess energy! A nice family restaurant. Recommended!

Food was good quality - traditional galettes and crepes - sat outside and it was a little chilly, but great because kids could see the ducks, swans and play on the swings etc. The play area was a little tired - but clean and safe. Service was not the fastest but the quality and value made up for that!

Our group ate several different dishes and they were all pretty good. We will not return though as service was terrible. We're ignored for the majority of the evening, had difficulty getting extra drinks, and had to ask for the bill several times. It took over 30 mins. We sensed the focus is more on French customers and on people... More

Good value basic french food. Steak and frites excellent. Charming child friendly setting. Service can be a tad slow, but worth it.

By a small lake on the road between Valognes and Bricquebec, excellent creperie with a vast choice of savoury and sweet pancakes, and a range of grilled meats and sausages. Friendly staff, and it is a real pleasure to sit by the little lake when the sun is out. Busy pretty much all year round, mainly with local customers, who... More
