Love to start walks on the Sandstone trail from here, very easy to get to, plenty of parking. Haven't had a main meal yet, but often stopped for beer and snacks. Nice layout inside, lovely bar staff and a clear local interest. Plenty of beer...More

The owner and manager were working and were very friendly and welcoming. The service was excellent, food was very good and all freshly made. Highly recommend the veggie pizza. Music was at right level and there was a good ambience.

Did not have the opportunity to dine at the Sandstone on this occasion, after a long walk the cider recommended by the landlord was so refreshing, just nice to sit outside, would return in the future to dine.

Fantastic Sunday lunch in the sun. Great service and the food was truly fantastic, perfectly cooked and stunning flavours. I can't wait to return. A little jewel I suspect many will drive on by!

Just had an excellent meal at The Sandstone. Although busy, the service was good and we were made to feel very welcome. The food is delicious especially the Sunday roasts. Big plateful of deliciousness. Excellent sticky toffee pudding. We will definitely be visiting again.

Visiting my parents this weekend, told we were going for 4 courses with different wine with each course for 25 quid. Reality check, wine with nibbles. Having recently done a 'faulty towers experience' in London I can see the funny side. However, the food was...More
