Had we left it any later we wouldn’t have been able to a book a table (“the Captain’s”?) and dine here, as it was unsurprisingly busy. The ambience, at least toward the front of the pub, is cosy. The service was friendly and not over-attentive....More

After reading good reviews I felt a little disappointed when I arrived - we had booked a table for Mother’s Day as we were staying in the area for - we were kept waiting on arrival with no apology. The room was dark and a...More

We were advised to book but as we went out of season it was quiet. Because of this the service was slow and I felt so bad for the person serving us, as they were also attending the bar. The staff were lovely though and...More

We often visit here for lunch and have never had a bad meal. There is wide choice of seafood dishes I especially recommend the cod in prawn sauce, the fish in batter, the crab sandwiches and the seafood medley. The staff are always friendly and...More

In response to your complaint. During a very busy Saturday night at the Garddfon I was told by a member of my staff that three lady diners wanted to see me. I left the bar to deal with the situation. I listened to their complaint...More

Really friendly staff in this tradition and very cosy pub. Traditional fare served with real pride, if you’re not in the close area you’re probably not passing by! But it would be worth a detour for the Liver or Steak and ale pie!

Yes as far as I'm aware dogs are allowed in the Bar area which serves food but not in the Bistro section - the bar area is very pleasant with an open fire and we've seen many well behaved dogs in there - hope this helps
