On a family camping trip we were hunting for a good breakfast out as a treat in the Caernarfon area, and found The Swellies online. It didn't disappoint. Brilliant breakfast. Friendly relaxed atmosphere. Lovely location. Highly recommended.

My first visit for a quick lunch. It is conveniently located in the Felinheli marina and parking was quite easy. A decent menu and I enjoyed the halloumi cheese salad. It should be a great spot for cyclists riding the nearby cycle track.

I was attending a nautical course near to this cafe, over a weekend and the Instructors recommended it as a good place to eat. The cafe is situated on the side of Port Dinorwic Marina, inside the lock gates. I had lunch two days on the run there. It is quite an upper class type of cafe but not overly... More

Really thought this would be one of the 'new wave' of Caffi Cymraeg that are popping up everywhere with over priced drinks and posh bread at exorbitant prices.....but it's NOT. Having read online that it was dog friendly I walked straight in with my four legged friend to be politely told dogs weren't allowed inside! Not perturbed by this, I... More

Although we are fairly local we had not visited this café before. When we went in at 11.00 we were very impressed with the café-although small and it's lovely atmosphere. We ordered two milky coffees BUT sat waiting for 25 minutes for the rinks to arrive at our table. !! I went to remind the lady waitresses about our long... More

Hi Anita. Thanks for visiting us on Saturday. I have spoken with the staff members who were working yesterday about your complaint, and they concur that you did in fact receive your drinks after the table next to you, even though you ordered before them. This was simply a case of genuine human error in which two order tickets were... More

I love this place. It's got a really friendly atmosphere and the food is just lovely. I've eaten here regularly over the pas few weeks and the food has always been excellent. I've had a range of food from breakfasts to burgers, I'm really not a burger person but their burgers are gorgeous. The home made cakes are yummy too.... More

My Dad and myself visit this cafe a lot. A very nice cafe with friendly staff and great food. We have never had a bad experience here. Can be busy at times but that's to be expected with its great reputation.

The Swellies is situated on the historic Port Dinorwic Marina, serving you fantastic breakfasts, delicious light lunches, beautiful home-made cakes, treats, and quality coffee. The Swellies is ideal for a quick pit stop on your way to work or while walking the dog, it's also the perfect place to fuel up with some quality food before embarking on a sailing trip (you can even double check the tide times using our free wifi!). For those with busy schedules The Swellies offers takeaway sandwiches, toasties, soups and hot drinks. We are proud to source our ingredients locally wherever possible. Our dry cured bacon and hand made-sausages are from Anglesey, we only use free-range eggs from happy hens and our bread is from a local artisan baker.
