Excellent food with very kind staff. The hotel is very cosy and the service is perfect. There are a lot of staff members and they can not do enough for you.

From our arrival to departure this was an amazing experience. The staff are superb, I must give a special mention to Hannah, who was attentive, friendly and helped to make this a memorable experience. Meeting Raymond Blanc was special. The food was delicious, the speed...of service just right. The highlight for me was suprisingly(not a dessert person)the dessert of cacao, coffee, marscapone and cardamom, complete with a birthday candle.More

Just got home from Le Manoir Aux Quat'Saisons. A fabulous Christmas treat from my partner . And I have to say we were blown away from the very start. It's the most beautiful place inside and out . Our room Arabesque was palacious and had...everything you could wish for . Staff are friendly attentive whilst still being professional. And the food was fabulous . We have had Le Manoir in our sights for sometime and it did not disappoint . And having said that we will have to come back as our only negative was ... we wanted to stay longer .Great trip. Would recommend wholeheartedly .More

Utterly superb. Every course was beautiful and a work of art on the plate. The staff were so proffessional exeptional. We went for a 40th birthday and enjoyed the private dining room and then drinks in the Orangery. Beautiful memorable day.

Lives up to the hype, excellent food and service. Beautiful grounds but don’t go for a long weekend in winter unless you’re planning on staying in the spa Wonderful rooms with fantastic art and glassware but utterly madly expensive

As we enter 2024, one of our favourite memories of last year was our stunning luncheon at Le Manoir! The entire experience surpassed all of our expectations. Le Manoir favours frequently in our annual photographic year book. Our photo at lunch is on the front...cover, and there are 12 landscape A4 pages inside. Your “Simply Raymond” signed book arrived the same day we arrived home, and we have been using it frequently ever since. Mme. Blanc knew a thing or two! We also enjoyed our dinner at Brasserie Blanc in Oxford two nights earlier. We wish you all a safe and prosperous 2024. Sandra and Darren December 2023More

What a fabulous experience. 5 of us came to celebrate an 18th birthday and it was handled beautifully. It's such a relaxed place, formal yet familiar. The food was very good and the wine pairing sublime. I liked the family table who arrived and the...children were perfectly behaved having their less formal children's menu. The grounds are definitely worth the ten minutes even in the rain and I can imagine how lovely it would be sat out on the lawn in the summer. A big thank you to my host too!More

The main problem with our lunch meal was that there were six courses but only four wines in the set wine flight to go with the set meal. Consequently when the arrival of the first course was delayed by 45 minutes we had largely drunk...the first wine before the first course arrived, when the first wine was supposed to last for both the first two courses. There is a lack of coordination between the food being served and the wine flight being served. This is not what we are used to as regulars for fine dining at Michedlin star restaurants. It also seems mean not to provide a wine for each course when £99 is being charged for the lowest cost matching wine flight of four glasses (and £850 highest cost wine flight for four glasses). The Manoir could help organise their own food and wine coordination by having a separate wine to match each of the six courses whilst also appearing a little less mean, given the prices. Scrouge is alive and well living at Little Milton. There were other signs that things were going downhill since we first ate at the Manoir over 15 years ago. It seems that the focus used to be on the restaurant food and service whilst the focus is now on being a hotel. A couple of examples were having to wait some time for a requested second coffee, which only arrived after being chsed up; and when leaving having to collect our own coats whilst arriving hotel guests were getting full attention. The menu was disappointing compared with last year. It seems more basic and whilst perfectly well cooked, rather boring and unimaginative for a Michelin star restaurant. I think the head chef has changed since last year. I preferred the food last month at the Brasserie Blanc in Oxford - where they live or die based on the restaurant food and service. Take my tip, when choosing fine dining, pick a restaurant rather than a hotel. Sleep at the hotel but eat out at a dedicated restaurant.More

So lots to love about the place of course. the gardens are spectacular, and the walk around them was probably my highlight. The staff are all perfectly trained and hushed and respectful. The wine we chose was phenomenal. But for the astronomic price for a...set festive lunch, the food was fine, but compared to all my previous "fine dining" experiences, there wasn't a single dish that I will particularly remember. It all felt like just a good gastro pub. I think I counted that during the time we were there we were attended to by 14 different people. (not including the chefs). Now I am all for driving up employment, but just a thought that perhaps you could lower the price a bit and not have quite so many waiters??More

This was very disappointing as well as very expensive. I had been before when Raymond Blanc ran it. This can hardly be described as a restaurant at lunch. One dégustation type menu . No alternatives , no a la carte. We asked for a cheese...course, an extra!! As we were 5 hungry men. £39 per head extra on top of the £220 per head menu, and tiny amounts. It must now be run by an accountant not a chef. My first visit and stay many years go was an experience to remember, but this was dismal. On the plus side the staff were all absolutely perfect and friendly. The restaurant was full, everyone on the same menu, mainly preprepared, a bit of a laugh for the chef, there used to be loads! Don’t bother. If you really want to see a Country House hotel with Michelin restaurant still and always on the top of its game go to Hambleton Hall.More

I was lucky enough to be treated to lunch at Le Manoir as I was celebrating a special birthday. It certainly exceeded expectations and was outstanding. In fact, it was one of the best restaurant experiences we have had in this country. We were taken...care of from the moment we arrived to when we departed. All the staff was friendly and welcoming. The atmposhere felt more relaxed than I was expecting, with some guests in casual dress. We enjoyed drinks on the terrace before lunch and were lucky with the weather. We did not feel rushed at any time. We had a tasting menu with a flight of wines and everything was exquisitely presented and delicious. The service was excellent and slick. The sommelier carefully informed us on our selection of wine and each one complimented the dish with which it was served. Oh and what a wonderful choice of bread! After lunch, we were able to choose a table to sit at in the garden. The waitress quickly found us and knew exactly who was having each drink although she had not been serving us at lunch. An example of the attention to detail we experienced throughout our time there. Later we had a wander through the beautiful gardens. No one seemed to be worried about where we were although we had not paid at that stage. It all felt relaxed and we felt very much at home. What a treat! I am now trying to come up with an excuse to go back!More

Outstanding. I cannot choose my favourite aspect of the meal as it was all simply wonderful. The service was second to none, the atmosphere was friendly but efficient, the surroundings are sublime and relaxing but of course, the main attraction being a gastronomic delight. I’d...go back tomorrow and have exactly the same meal again and again. Loved it every second.More

The setting and service were faultless but I'm afraid I have to agree with a few recent reviews in that the food did not bowl us over as it has done in the past. The meat course was pork but the piece I had had...a large amount of inedible fat and a bit or cartilage which is not something you would expect from a restaurant of this calibre. A consomme was a bit oily and again did not wow with flavour. I'm not sure if Raymond was in the kitchen or not but this may have had something to do with it.More

My wife and I dined here back in January to celebrate her birthday (a round number!) - and it was possibly one of the most perfect restaurant experiences we have had. The team are professional but friendly and know exactly how to hold a conversation,...the lounges are comfortable but not overly manicured, the dining room is smart but not pretentious and the food was obviously - superb. Have I had better courses in other restaurants? Yes I have, but the impressive thing was the consistency across the entire meal. Every single course was superb, let's say an 8.5/10 .. every one. The control and precision of the dining room was very impressive, never a crumb out of place. By the way - the bread here is to die for, and they are very generous with it too - my wife jokes about coming back here just for bread and cheese! Would we recommend? Absolutely. Would we come back? Absolutely.More
