We didn't eat at this pub but the atmosphere was great for a drink with the locals. 5 star service from the manager who we forgot the name of however looked and sounded like Nick Frost :)

There was a reasonable choice of food at expected prices.
Pleasant garden seating was available.
Serving of food was uncomfortably slow, probably because we went at a popular time on a Saturday evening

We're sorry to hear about your experience but we don't have a Landlady at this pub. The pub is run by myself who was on the outside bar and my son who was working on the inside bar.

Nice local pub with music nights too. Stayed in Box for the weekend and had dinner here which was nice, no frills but was nice and good service. Portions were massive so probably could have shared the stir fry but can't complain!
Lovely homemade offerings - especially Gianni's lasagne!!! Lots of events on too, local bands on Saturdays and a monthly music event called Schtumm which has hosted many famous faces over the years!
