Perfect again

Had an amazing night and we were very well looked after. Did a last minute booking thank you for accommodating us with such short time. Food was served on time and was delicious, of course drinks were also served well. It was our third visit and can’t recommend it enough.

Best takeaway ever!!!

We just had the best takeaway ever!! We are regular patrons of Izgara, but only just realised they were doing takeaway during lockdown. The restaurant is a gem. Great food at great prices with great, friendly service. Often, takeaway is a disappointment if you like a restaurant. However, today’s was every bit as fresh tasty and well prepared as eating in. Absolutely great. Thanks a lot.

Dinner on Saturday evening 04/02/23

Visited Izgara restaurant on the Saturday 4th Feb for dinner with my girlfriend Mihaela & her cousin which we booked online. Firstly my girlfriend was greeted by her name at the door which I thought was lovely. The waiter (young guy) showed us to our table and bought us over a selection of sauces and fresh warm bread. The waitress came over and took out orders and the food arrived promptly. The bread, humous and mostly importantly the lamb was well cooked and full of flavour. My girlfriend is a very fussy eater and this was the first time in ages that she was happy with her meal. What a result! Another lovely touch was they didn't automatically apply a tip to our bill which I thought was lovely. I of course left a tip which in my honest opinion was greatly deserved. An all round great experience 5 stars from us. We will certainly be visiting this little hidden gem again.

EXCELLENT RESTAURANT!

This is an excellent restaurant. The service is brilliant, staff are so helpful and efficient. The food was plentiful and of very good quality. Today we ordered the sea bass and grilled king prawn dishes. Both cooked to perfection! We have been several times, and it's our favourite place to eat in Grays. We highly recommend it!

Work take away

We always use this Turkish as our work outing and every time it is perfect. The guys here always are so friendly and nothing is ever too much for them.. since the lockdown we have been getting take outs and each time it has been amazing and also if you havent tried their baklavas your missing out as its always freshly made and so delicious. Keep up the good work guys.

Perfect place for a Private 50th Birthday Party Fabulous friendly staff and amazing food

This venue is perfect for a great get together. I had my 50th birthday with 40 guests. They were brilliant so Happy for my friends to decorate Everyone enjoyed the evening. The staff are so friendly and attentive so happy to help so all had a great evening. The food was superb all came fresh and hot That bread mmmmm fresh salads and the meat so so tasty. Perfect for mixed group with selection of vegetarians, those slimming and healthy eaters as well as those with large appetites Thank you for making 50 Great

Change of management very much needed

The people working there were very friendly and helpful, however the Manager is quite the most obnoxious person I have ever met. The way he speaks to his staff is one thing, I would have to be absolutely desperate for a job even to a single shift! but his arrogance overspills to customers who pay his wages, he seems to think that he is doing us a favour just by letting us in the door. Clearly needs to attend charm school

Great food! Great value!

We went here with friends on Monday at lunchtime. We were given a huge bowl of mixed salad, hot pitta and dips as soon as we sat down. We therefore did not need starters and the main courses were generous and tasty. This is a great local gem of a restaurant, service is friendly and efficient and prices reasonable.

Worst food ever

I ordered a few things from this restaurant and the only thing I don’t have bad words for is the bread and hummus. In what world should calamari be served to you soggy with a pool of liquid inside? The calamari was absolutely cold and inedible. The lamb ribs were awful - bland and cold. The salad had half of 1 cherry tomato in each one and full of liquid. I spent over £30 and could not eat anything. Complete waste of money and I will never eat from here again.

Couldn’t fault the place. We fancied a Lebanese / Turkish for lunch so googled a place to go. Can’t believe we found such a gem in this restaurant !! The manager is delightful and so helpful and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and our time with the staff. We had the chefs special platter between two of us. Wow. So much food. And it was all cooked to perfection and perfectly flavoured. Definitely recommend !! Make sure you eat here.

Excellent service and great food

Had a really nice meal here tonight as i was in the area on business. Food came Promptly and was delicious. Excellent service from the lovely waitress who was polite and attentive. Meal was very reasonably priced and tasted amazing. Definitely be back soon.

Went for lunch on a Saturday and had a great meal from the set lunch menu. Fresh bread and salad, good hummus and other starters. and the main kebabs were great, good value delicious meal in a light airy room.

Fantastic good value food

Had a fantastic takeaway from here this evening. Ordered and ready in around 10 mins. Picked it up as don’t live far. Met with smiles and great hospitality. So much food. Superb choice of starters and mains. Everything you would expect and more. Will definitely be back.
