Was very unimpressed with lunch here, the starters were very small, the soup was tasteless and the lunch itself was very average - wont be hurrying back

A really lovely lunch today with my son, waitress with hair tied up greeted us and said we could choose where we sat....we opted for the table in bar next to a lovely warm open fire. Same pleasant waitress took our drinks order and handed us menus, also explained the specials boards to us. I went for the two course... More

One of the best places we have had visited in a long time. We were met by a very pleasant young lady called Paige and shown to a table in front of a roaring fire. Then Pauline came and introduced herself which was a nice touch. I had the pate and my husband had thai fishcakes both were presented very... More

Food was excellent, we took a fussy teenager, and a fussy grandma and had not one complaint from a party of six. We have now been several times and it's lovely. Really good value for money, none of these silly portions. ;) Staff were nice and location is beautiful. If you visit in the warmer months the seating area outside... More

Well visited with Itson Voucher for 3 course meal. Lovely welcoming real log fire on a cold Nov night. The starter lovely, the main wasn't , it tasted like reheated slow cooked belly pork. I asked for a black coffee for the third course which wax questioned and my partner requested a raspberry cheese cake with ice cream. His arrived... More

Had a lovely lunch here in the bar, though the restaurant looked nice too. In a lovely setting with the old watermill turning as we arrived. Good pub grub, sandwiches, burgers and nice choice to starters mains and puds. Staff were friendly and efficient. Real fire, real chips, what more could you want!

This is a delightful place to eat. My wife and I and our 14 year old son had a delicious meat platter of ribs, chicken skewers, belly pork and chilli beef nachos to share as a starter. Sensational. The roast of the day ( the wife and I ) and the New Orleans burger ( the son) were all raved... More
