A lunchtime visit on a wet Tuesday in January, but the place was almost full. Decor was unpretentious but interesting. The portion sizes were certainly small but very good quality and variety with some interesting combinations. At about £50 per head, it was expensive for a country pub meal, but the quality and novelty just about justified the price. Service was... More

At the last minute, we booked a table in the bar for a Sunday evening. First impressions were great. Big glowing log burner, good decor and really nice to see some locals enjoying the bar. I'd heard rumours that it was more restaurant now but actually, looks like they've struck a good balance and retained some all important, local trade.... More

I'd heard a lot about Anton the ginger chef and how good the food was here. We weren't disappointed. The portions seem small but believe me They are filling !! My advice is don't over order side dishes. Would I want to go back? Probably not... it was good but so are others.

We dined here for my partner's birthday when visiting from London. We had the 10 course tasting menu and it was amazing. My favourite thing however had to be the marmite butter (yes the butter!), loved it. All the dishes were really inventive, the only one I wasn't so keen on was the monkfish as it was too spicy, but... More

What a fantastic experience we have just had at the Treby. As we were celebrating my wife's birthday we wanted to go somewhere to spoil ourselves. The food was plentiful and very tasty, the textures and the presentation were a real delight. Our waitress, Jemma was attentive and knowledgeable which also adds to the experience. As it was my wife's... More

We've recommended the Treby to lots of local friends over the last year or so and decided to treat some special friends from out of town to share the experience that we often rave about and came away feeling disappointed. I contacted the restaurant before we came to specifically ask if Anton would be cooking that evening and I was... More

My favourite visit to the Treby starts with a tough decision - which amazing Gin and Tonic combination to have? A pub that understands that different gins need different tonics and garnishes marks it out from the ordinary to start with. Then there are the delicious bar snacks, from Pigs Face to TCC, Trebys' triple cooked chips with gravy, cheese... More

This was a wonderful experience. The food is beautiful, delicious and generous for the meal type. The wine pairings were perfect and the staff are so kind and friendly. I recommend this for any occasion!

Wonderful, original food, great portion size and fantastic service. The menu was described in great detail by the waiter and the food did not disappoint. Small restaurant/ pub but not on top of each other. Well worth the tad on the expensive side price tag. We will be back!

My wife and I had dinner at the Treby Arms for our first wedding anniversary, having followed Anton's progress on Masterchef: The Professionals some years previously. We had a fantastic meal with brilliant service. My wife went for the fish and chip main, principally to work out how a chef elevates such a humble meal to Michelin star level! She... More
