This has been our regular place for Sunday lunch for a while, but after a short break we have returned to find the food is substandard in comparison to how it used to be. I can only assume from the recent menu change that they have hired a new chef and from the change of the meats they have a... More

Drove here on the recommendation of a friend so were not sure what to expect. Upon entrance the place was almost empty except for a few of the locals perched at the bar with their dogs. The lady who was serving behind the bar greeted us with a warm welcome and invited us to eat in the bar rather than... More

A varied menu, good service and good food! We revisited the miners after a few years away and weren't disappointed. We'll be back!

We came here a few years ago and had a great time New Years. We were all looking forward to come back as we loved it. Wasn't quite the same experience this time around. When we called to ask about tickets and when the tickets were on sale in mid Dec none of the staff knew what was going on... More

We visited an old favourite of a venue as a group of 13, and I am disappointed to say that little touches spoiled what could have been a lovely dinner. The restaurant was not overly busy in terms of the number of covers, yet the staff seemed to be stretched to bursting, culminating in a very low key welcome, and... More

This is a little gem of a pub - we're very lucky it's our 'local' (15 min walk from home!) Food is reliably very good and not pretentious, service is friendly (even when customers are being awkward!!), atmosphere is nice, prices are very good value for money and the setting is very pleasant. The only small negative is the conservatory... More

Lovely meal had out with my daughter and granddaughter. Fish and chips and burger enjoyed with homemade coleslaw and tartar sauce, yummy. The three way chocolate desert was to die for, I think it's the best dessert I've ever had. Mmmmmm. Thank you and hope you go go, you enjoy as much as we did 😊

Haven't visited The Miners for about a year but has always been of a good standard. We enjoyed all three courses, starters was the Home made Scotch egg, really big portion which was very tasty & I had the Goats cheese & beetroot, really nice. Both had sirloin steaks for mains, with really crispy chips, steaks done to our liking.... More

Having been and eaten here before we were once again looking forward to some delicious food, only to be disappointed, which is a shame as the atmosphere in this busy pub is great. Chicken was very dry, fish over battered and both servings of chips extremely crispy and crunchy, the pea purée was mashed up peas rather than a delicious... More
