Fantastic staff, superb beers and the best prawn gumbo I've had for a long, long time. Would recommend to anyone.

Popped in for a birthday lunch with Sara and our four boys. We arrived when everyone else did and clearly a flood of customers at once! Landlady worked so hard and no real delay at all. Drinks great and food delicious. One of my boys knocked his meal onto the floor just after receiving it and a replacement ordered straightaway... More

I have a lovey time when I visit this pub. The food is always tasty and the menu is often changed up to add some variety which is fab. The staff are attentive and friendly and look after you during your stay. Well done very lovely place!

Lunch with colleagues couldn't have been better today. Amazing service, tasty options for starters, mains and desserts and wow, what a pie! I chose the beef and ale pie with chunky chips and vegetables. I was not disappointed. It was homemade and delicious! It filled me up and was disappointed not to be able to choose a dessert. I will... More

I had such a lovely evening out surrounded by my family and friends and celebrating my birthday on Friday evening. We were all made to feel very welcome by Koren, joint owner, front of house and married to the head chef. Our table was waiting for us on arrival and we sat down promptly. Nothing was too much trouble and... More

Popped in to the Brickmakers for lunch. Land lady was very welcoming. Great food I had pie, delicious traditional pie. Very hot and tasty. Followed by Millionaires shortbread. All of us were well fed and we'll looked after. Well worth a visit. We will be back.

I feel like maybe my family and I caught them on a bad day yesterday after reading the other reviews which are mostly positive but our experience was anything but! When we first arrived (despite calling in advance for a table) it took 30 minutes for us to get our first drink which just consisted of a beer, coke, 2... More

Hi Becky, thank you for your email. I'm sure you'll be surprised to hear that I'm glad you have left this review as it has made me aware of a situation that I had heard nothing about. I've been into work yesterday and it was not mentioned so I will be addressing it when I go in today. My husband... More

A very pleasant interior with a nice fire. Food is your average pub grub - standard fare, reasonably priced and service is pleasant. Can be noisy and packed if there is a band on, which can be good or bad depending on your point of view, so you may want to check first! Sadly the beer garden was sold off... More

Hi thank you for your review, although I found it a little confusing. We were a little bit put out that you declared our food average pub grub, as we are very well known and appreciated for our excellent restaurant menu, although you may have only seen our bar menu which does serve the standard fish & chips, sandwiches, wraps,...
