The lake is three quarters of a mile long and covers 63 acres, has good access and is well sheltered on all banks. It is regularly stocked with Rainbow trout supplementing the Wild Brown trout and can be fished from all banks or by the privacy of a boat. Or why not visit our lakeside Cafe or Tea Garden and enjoy a delicious light meal and homemade scones and cakes after a walk around the lake or nearby hills.

Good welcome from the staff and the coffee and tea was very good. The cakes appeared to be home made and were very appealing but we had not long eaten so gave them a miss. A number of customers seemed to be enjoying them though.

Yes there are toilets, they are in an outbuilding but fine. The cafe is in an out of the way place but absolutely charming. It can get busy though as it is unique.
