First of all. there is always a lovely welcome from the staff. They are always interested in where you have come from and whether you are enjoying visiting Llangollen. The food is excellent, lovely big portions and always piping hot. The prices for the the food and drink are so reasonable....I don't know how they do it. I generally visit... More

Lovely food here. Chips were gorgeous. Popped in after a walk with the family. Staff lovely. Checked in to see if we were ok. Bouncy castle on the garden for the children. Happy all round

I have been passing this pub for many years and today decided to pop in for sunday lunch. It was beautiful home cooking and very welcoming atmosphere. Fantastic value and pudding were to die for. I cannot praise it enough.

Needed a hot dinner after a long walk on a cold and damp day. Searched for a pub serving food all day and this was what we found. Lovely welcoming pub, very friendly staff. Happy to welcome the dog and provided water for her. We had 2 adult meals and 2 kids meals which were all lovely. Very good value... More

Booked a table for Sunday lunch on the recommendation of my brother in law. I had the beef, husband had the lamb, both with roasters, mash, carrots, red cabbage, cauli. Very nice! For £5.50 each, not worth the trouble cooking myself. We then had home made trifle between us. Beer very good and staff all very friendly! Think this will... More

Visited this pub while on our canal holiday in July with my wife and daughter. The only issue we had was that initially we followed the trip advisor location - not there, rather it is about ½ mile further along the road - not obvious when you are on foot! It was a Monday night, so rather quiet - but... More
