Perfect stop when you're on your way to or from Snowdonia for a beautiful dinner or as we did Sunday lunch. Crisp linen tablecloth and elegant-stemmed wine glasses always make for a promising start for me and sure enough, the food met their match. Gravaldlax with sourdough followed by a mighty beef Sunday roast for my sis and lemon sole... More

Went for a birthday celebration and the two courses for £12 menu. There were 6 of us, 2 had starters, 6 had mains, 4 had sweets. Total time to serve 3 courses was 2.5 hours. The food was lovely but the experience was terrible. We expected much better from this establishment.

I have eaten here 4 times now and the food is absolutely superb. Quality dining environment and I would highly recommend the fillet of beef. When staying around Christmas time the Fayre is exceptional too. Complimented by great staff and a really peaceful environment this is a great place to stay and eat.

Met an old friend for lunch here and the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The lounge with a huge log fire is lovely and comfy. The restaurant is light and overlooks the garden. Great choice of food, Christmas menu and restaurant and snack choices. Unfortunately, the food was mediocre - over cooked fish and vegetables, dryish lasagne.... More

The Black and White home offers a cozy lounge with a historic fireplace mantle. We enjoyed and evening meal and a morning breakfast in this lovely and welcoming home. It was very private and seemed like a secret place in the woods.

Called in for a quick meal with friends. Although the meal itself was quite acceptable however we felt that we were not quite welcomed by the bar manageress - as we were only wanting a quick meal and a drink. Shame as we would have used this Hotel quite a lot as we have just moved into the area in... More

Staff were very pleasant and accommodating. We had a very nice meal (perhaps a little expensive for the area but worth the money) Will certainly visit again
