We ate at La Taberna de La Cuarta Esquina during a family dinner and really enjoyed our experience. The place is very cozy and has a nice historical feeling to it. The food was delicious, all the way from the appetizers to the dessert. The service was exceptional as well. Highly recommended.

The place is not easy to find but it worths the effort. Food is mainly sourced from the local territory. Flavour and presentation are excellent. Courses are prepared with simple ingredients which underline the freshness and the high quality. I strongly recommend this place even if the only spoken language of the staff is Spanish.

Friendly staff, and very good food. My wife and I both had a steak which were cooked perfectly and absolutely huge! We found it to be very affordable too, all in all it was a very pleasant experience.

Well worth a visit. Friendly staff, quaint surroundings and excellent food. Had the solomillo which was cooked well and was very tasty and followed it with a tiramisu which was excellent. Would certainly return

Very surprising restaurant which from the outside looks quite small in a very scruffy part of town. We arrived just before 1o'clock and there were only two people there but by 3 o'clock there were 90 or more and the place still didn't seem busy. Great service and wine list. Menus were dirty and dog eared but expectations were high... More

My husband and I were staying at this Parador on a wine trip through Northern Spain. This town has seen better days and obviously is having economic problems. Being tired of parador food, we happened on this place. Not expecting much, we were surprised. We both had steak with wild mushrooms. The mushrooms were grilled and sumptuous . The steak... More

Arrived late to Calahorra and was brought to this small restaurant in the small town of Calahorra. We started with some pica pica (starters) with their locally grown aspargus which was very sweet and tasty which was cooked simply by steaming or blanching. The other vege dish was a a red color egg plant look alike which is cooked in... More

The restaurant has a very nice interior traditional lodge type. The food is excellent based on local ingredients and traditional northern Spanish cuisine. The wine list was not compatible with the level of the restaurant. Other then that great place to eat if you are in the area.

Business visit, with a small group. Loved it !!! The restaurant is very typical from the region. Calahorra is part of La Rioja region, very rich in good wine and unique vegetables from that area. Tasted several local delicacies: Mushrooms (great); 2 vegetables from that region (don't remember the name), but they were lovely and finally the "chuleton", it was... More

An excellent place to explore the local cuisine through food well done and very complete. Glass peppers and cannelloni of pork feet were a discovery. Reasonable price 2 courses, wine, dessert and coffee. 25€/person. Recommended.
