This restaurant was located within the main lodge of Chalet du le Fjord. Great selection of entrees at slightly above average prices, but the food and ambiance was excellent. Service was also good, although French was only spoken so communication was a little challenging. Would go back again if in the area.

We had a tasty French meal- sat in the front with view of the fjord. Learned a little French as the waitress knew no English! Elegant setting with lots of time between courses to take in the setting sun and activity at the marina. Food was very French with soup, salad, escargot tasty meats and delicious brownies as a nod... We stopped at this restaurant for lunch during our cruise on the Saguenay River. It is a short walk uphill from the boat dock. The elevation is enough to give you a wonderfully expansive view of the river (fjord) and the surrounding hills. The lunch really was excellent. The tomato soup was unique and superb. We ordered a second helping... More

Typical French Auberge. Complete with hot french onion soup and crepes and great local beer. Overlooked the water and small yacht club.

We ate one evening, and just caught the last of the light. Great view, but not from all tables. Local beer at the bar, and tasty food. Tip: park around the back and you'll be at the same level as the restaurant. If you enter at the front you'll have quite a few stairs to climb.

We arrived late on Labor Day evening. I'm sure the staff had had a long weekend, but they were so pleasant and obliging! The view is incredible and my dish, the pork loin with apples and a maple sauce was perfect accompanied with scalloped potatoes and red cabbage. I loved every bite! We also got dessert to go! It was... More

We didn't get the smoked truite which might be the best thing to try here ... Instead I had the absolute worst and most tasteless "angus" hamburger of my life (a real shame for 20$) and my wife a kind of ragout which was so salty she couldn't finish it :( Some may say it is not a good idea... Located on the 3rd floor (if you enter from Rue St Jean Baptiste), there is another entrance and parking on the street behind the restaurant. Try and get a window seat, the view is amazing! The food was good, kind of pricey, although they did have a terrific table d'hôte special the night we went. Without a doubt the highlight... More

A large varied menu and many local alcohols, with a pris fixe option, bistro menu before 5PM, and Sunday brunch are all part of this Quebec-style restaurant. There is a balcony section with great views and a bar area. The staff are very attentive and pleasant. The food was original and special. The chef has some recipes in a cookbook... More

We stayed at the Chalets sur le Fjord whole week. On Sunday we tried the L’Islet restaurant for brunch (see my previous review) and decided to give it a second chance. We came for a dinner. Again we had table with awesome Fjord view at sunset! Beautiful! This time our waitress was very attentive and made every effort to explain... More
