This is the third time we have visited Riverford Farm shop cafe. It is in a great location and easy for disabled people as its all on the level. However there is a staff problem to start lack of ,which puts the staff under a lot of pressure as we saw today. The food we had was pulled pork roll,... More

I visited the yealmpton store a few days ago and it will definetly be my last. Me and some of my friends popped in for lunch as we had heard that riverford strived to use quality local ingredients. Once we ordered our food we sat on what I can only describe as the worst chair I have ever sat on,... More

After a brisk walk in the local area it was lovely to visit the Farm Shop and have a tasty lunch- salmon fishcakes! The butcher at Riverford also gave us some top tips for a slow cooked beef recipe for later in the day.

Used to come here quite regularly ten years ago but had not been for a while o persuaded my partner that it would be a good place to eat, as I'd had good experiences here in the past. But how things have gone downhill. It was very quiet for a Sunday, perhaps that should have forewarned us. We ordered 2... More

Ok, nobodies fault, the ovens weren't working and couldn't buy a meat pasty. So I bought a beef and ale pie and beef and stilton pasty. I asked for them to be heated and was told there would be a five minute wait. After five minutes the assistant checked the temperatures with a probe and said it would take a... More

After a long journey from Dover , we decided to give this place a try for breakfast, after shopping there ,for a number of years, when on holiday. We can safely say that this was the best breakfast we have had from a cafe! Organic bacon, cooked to perfection, sausages to die for, free range organic egg, vine toms, mushrooms and organic... More

After a few visits have decided I won't be revisiting - food tends to be very unimaginative - have had fishcakes which were very dry and lentil pasty which was also unacceptably dry - the salads accompanying both were either dull or smothered in mayonnaise - the Riverford field kitchen near Totnes is so brilliant - it's hard to believe... In December we went with some relatives for breakfast and after a 30 minute wait our food came it was... More

We've had breakfast here a couple of times and we do think it's very good, although quite expensive. But I guess it's all organic so hence the price. Good English breakfast and worth a visit.
