Yes, a bite into the cream puff, the vanilla cream overflows. The store gives you wet tissue for practical reasons. Your fingers and mouth will be filled with cream. For ladies with makeups, beware. We ordered a vanilla pudding and think it looks simple. It turns out to be absolutely delicious. It's creamy instead of "pudding" texture.

There was a huge queue for the cream puffs here when the bus load of tourists came so we thought we would give it a go. Wow. I don't eat much desserts but this was great. The cream puffs are filled in front of you when you pay. It costs 220 yen each. They are a big custard puff bun.... More

Be careful eating the cream puffs. They are so full it easily drops out! And the choux pastry is so light it could float away. At 220 yen they area a bargain for such quality. There are some stools to sit in and enjoy them. The cakes and patisseries looked wonderful too.

If you want some delicious custard buns or cakes this is the place to head for . In the centre of town , there isn't seating but there a a couple of benches outside. You can also get a coffee here.

They must have the best cream puff in the Kumamoto-Aso area if not Kyushu, if not Japan. Arguably better than the Milk Kobo puffs in Hokkaido. The puff pastry is lightly crispy and the cream pumped freshly into pastry from a refrigerated container. Because it's fresh cream it has to be consumed within 3 hours and if refrigerated at most... Not a big fan of sweet cream puffs but the ones here are made with a light, elegant sweetness encased in a fragrant crispy pastry shell. Good!

If you visit Kurokawa, you must try this small shop. You won't miss it. Just walk to the town center and you will see the only shop with lots of clients. I bought custard and big eclair and they are both very delicious.

Their cream puffs are apparently quite good. I didn't think much of them but I'm not a fan of cream puffs to start with. They do have other things that I thought were quite good, e.g. their custard pudding and cookies were pretty good. The shop was surprisingly busy given that the town was quite small and I didn't see... More

This gem of a place in the little onsen resort village of Kurokawa is a must try when visiting. Not only is the pastry deliciously crispy outside, the filling is perfectly creamy without being cloyingly sweet. At JPY 220 each, it's a very affordable treat between onsen hoping.
