We stopped by this place to get a quick bite and try the swordfish sandwiches. They did not disappoint, the service was friendly and we easily got a table outside. The fries and sandwiches were delicious, and the sea view makes it even better!

Picked up an excellent panini last night consisting of swordfish, olives, lettuce, and mayo. This panini was their specialty and it was quite good. They also included a couple of mashed potato fried, breadcrumb encrusted pepperocini filled "tater tots" which were their house specialty. Very limited bar seating inside (7), good outdoor seating above the sea.

Yesterday night a friend of mine took me to Chianalea. It's a breathtaking "borgo" (little medieval village, where every step you take leads you to a majestic view. For dinner she suggested to go to Civico 5, which is a Paninoteca, which in italian means a place where you can eat sandwiches. We had to get signed on a list,... More

We found this small panini-bar. The swordfish-panini is great. You find this place in the middle of the old town ... the place on the map of tripadvisor is not correct. Just walk into the town and you will find it.

Loved this little bar, we sat out having a beer a couple of time - it's so photogenic on both occasions we were joined by wedding parties taking photos . The swordfish sandwiches are delicious

Really more of a panini and antipasti place. Nice view, swordfish is the specialty, in the middle of the old fishing village just past the Marina.

It's always difficult to review a snack bar like this alongside "proper" restaurants: at time of writing, this is #1 on TA in Scilla, which I frankly don't think is justified compared with those that are restaurants. We had really good spada panino and chips cooked in olive oil, plus draught beer (OK) and house white wine (slightly better than... More

We had come into Scilla on the way through to the Messina Straits and wandered through the harbour area looking for a drink and a snack. We followed advice on TA and had the swordfish in a panini and also grilled with salad. Both were excellent. Service was quick without being rushed and the house wine was very quaffable. Reasonably... More

We went for a drink and snack. Place was dead (as was most of town to be fair) but having ordered drinks and a menu they ignored our food request and brought cheap white wine instead of prosecco. They just stood around outside smoking and didn't come back to ask of we wanted good. We eventually went to the bar... More
