Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

As ever the quality of the food and drink is fabulous, we have been here several times and never been disappointed. The staff are courteous and friendly, the atmosphere is relaxed and i would highly recommend this place. Great for family, special occasions, lunch and...evening meals. I would book to ensure that you get a table before arriving as is a busy little gem of a place.More

Had an excellent dinner here with 40 colleagues. Tasty food all round and our various special dietary needs were carefully taken into account. Many thanks to Susan and Ian and staff for pulling out all the stops and making it a great evening

This is a great find. Food and service was excellent and I loved the old world feel of the place. Great range of home made cake too.

We had a lovely meal on Friday 26 August with our friends who had came down from Newburgh. They thoroughly enjoyed their meals and liked the idea of BYOB as well. The service was first class and the ambience in the restaurant was great

My wife and I with two friends were looking for a lunch while visiting Brechin. A local woman saw us look at the Bakehouse and told us we would not be disappointed if wanting lunch. Obviously we had not booked but when we went into...the cafe the young waitress said it was ‘ no problem ‘ and showed us to a corner table. Our order was quickly taken and our lunch arrived 10 minutes later. Excellent food and very reasonable prices. When in Brechin this cafe is well worth a visit.More

What a find! We were recommended to go here by the owner of the B&B where we stayed as she reckoned we'd like it. She was not wrong. The menu choice was excellent, the food superb, the service outstanding and the price (at £26.95 for...3 courses incl coffee) amazing (and its BYOB with no corkage charge!). We are only disappointrd that our stay in Brechin was so short we couldn't go again.More

Stopped off in Brechin to try & find some breakfast. Managed to park on the road opposite ( free for 1 hour) so went inside. Staff were nice & very friendly. My partner was delighted to find they advertised a gluten free breakfast. Food was...absolutely delicious & good value for money. I would highly recommend a visit hereMore
